Has Azzin posted on this thread yet?

I always bump into him (assumption) on the iPhone launch threads and it's fun laughing about the hype from the year before.

One of the enjoyable things the whole launch process (well to me anyway)

Sell to your missus? Blimey. Each to their own I guess...

To be fair in the past I have sold my iPhone's to my mrs. Discounted obviously! Most think I'm mad to sell rather than give, but to be honest my stuff is kept immaculate and I could get a half decent amount for it to a stranger. Plus she pays me back whenever so she gets free finance :D

I would've loved Rose Gold colour option with Black faceplate, white faceplate is distracting to me.

That would have been ace!

Agreed, I speculated about the date bump further up in the thread My only hope is that everyone has a lie in so I can get my pre order :D

Wishful thinking - we'll all be awake at 6am twiddling our thumbs. Still better than the 5s - am sure that midnight = 1 minute!!

Exactly, i keep my stuff immaculate for resell purposes, it even still has 12 months Apple Care+ on it. If anything the mrs feels guilty as she knows I could get £400 or more for it.

Different strokes for different folks

I just spoke to o2. So basically the new phones will only be available on the o2 Refresh with two options, 20Gb and 30Gb tariffs. Anyone else got this confirmed? They've not revealed any pricing yet. I've not used Refresh before. Was told you make two payments per month, one for the airtime/data/tariff and the other for the handset. But you can only upgrade phone of you pay the handset off. Which I guess makes sense, but in a 24 month contract paying 45 quid a month, it's not that game changing unless I was desperate for a new model every single year.

So I guess there is no standard type of contact as there is currently where you pay X amount up front and then 40-60 per month? I tried to see if I could squeeze any info out of them about the 6+ 128Gb on pay monthly but looks like I'll have to wait for their email/website update. Just trying to gauge potential cost.

I suspect they will have other tariffs other than the 20 and 40 go ones!
They did something similar last year but when you looked on the page when the prices went live, there were other options available!

I plan to pre order one on Saturday through Apple and then hopefully if I get one through Tesco I can cancel that order. Anybody know the latest that you can change delivery location/cancel an order through Apple on pre order?

Depends where Apple ship the phone from, if they ship it straight from China then it could be as soon as the following day. If they ship it from the UK then it will probably be a couple of days before the 25th.

Who is getting the Apple care? It has gone up quite a bit since the last model, but still not a bad idea. I suppose the force touch screen is quite expensive and it is probably not some thing that can be changed by your local kiosk on the market.

September 25th can't come quick enough. Sold my iPhone 6 just under 4 weeks ago and struggling along with an old iPhone 4S.

The most annoying part though...the iPhone 4S is locked to EE (like most phones in Britain) so I am having to use a PAYG SIM. My Three SIM is sat on my desk doing nothing with it's unlimited data! Looks like it's an early start on Saturday morning! :)

What I'm confused about is why I can still only buy 20GB of iCloud and not 50GB as was advertised yesterday.

It will probably increase on the 15th Sept, they announced it straight after announcing iOS9 release date. They did a similar thing last year (or possibly the year before), announced a change in iCloud pricing but it didn't change until the new OS was released.

All I have to say is that more and more Apple is getting more than inspiration from the jailbreak community. The front flash simulation is something that the tweak front flash does and the so-called force touch feature is very similar to the many tweaks which allow you to double tap app icons to either see notifications or reply to a comment or message etc.

All in all though I am very pleased with all the improvements made available in the 6s. However, I am very much content with my fully customized iPhone 5s so I'm thinking to wait on the 7s

I too am waiting on iCloud increase so I can switch to iCloud photos!! Using 20gb on my iPhone at the moment.

Also handy to use as a backup for the photos

They usually seem to ship Monday/Tuesday but I believe some shipped Wednesday/Thursday so perhaps they were already in the UK.

It's part of the fun checking the tracking every 5 seconds

Also if everyone else could have a lie in until 8.10 so I can get mine pre ordered that'd be great!!

I'll be buying Apple Care, I've only had one iphone shatter and had to pay £180 for a replacement phone for the 5 model. Since then I always get Apple Care+

Guessing this new iPhone every year is US only

Wow this seems interesting as would essentially get a new iPhone every year quite cheap. I don't think it will come to the UK that quick as I imagine it will change the mobile telecoms industry in a big way.

Few people would want to sign up for 24 month contact with their carrier if this option exists

Indeed

i will buy sim only deals going forward with no 24 month contracts

Hi all

Just cannot remember from last year, but if I would like to pre-order on Sat, so I get the choice between delivery and store collection at that time, or do I need to pre-order through my local store.

Cheers!

It wouldnt be cheap though. It would be more expensive overall but just more convenient and useful for those with less money. Overall it will be the more expensive way to own an iphone as you are just leasing it or effectively taking out a loan.
