So it looks as though the 6S+ also has a smaller battery going from 2915mAh to 2750mAh. Rather disappointed with this. I understand something had to get smaller as the taptic engine needed to go somewhere. The 6+ battery is amazing.

I know somebody will say well they have got a more efficient and less energy hungry processor but the battery also has to power 3D touch and 2gb of RAM. Apple says the battery will last as long as the 6+ but i'll believe that when I see it. The 5 was supposed to last 7 or 8 hours wasn't it? Only lasted 4 for me. sometimes less.

Both the 6s and 6s+ have about 5% less battery capacity than their 6/6+ equivalent. Between the die shrink for the A9, the component count reduction across the motherboard, iOS9 efficiency improvements and the Low Power Mode, I highly doubt you'll really notice.

As you say, your mileage was different than the quoted numbers. That's because your usage pattern has a huge influence, foreground apps and background apps. Brightness, signal strength, etc, etc. :)

I know and I really hope the battery is as good as the 6+ but i'm against the principle of making the battery smaller. Apple should be pushing the boundaries with everything. But when it comes to the battery they just stick with what they think people want. The truth is everybody wants a bigger better battery that lasts longer. Sadly I have a feeling that the iPhone 7 will ship with an even smaller battery. Just so they can make it thinner.

Don't worry the iPhone 7 with its 7" screen will leave enough room for more battery

Can't see money actually going out of my account. But then again I still can't see the £5 i spent yesterday using Apple pay for the first time. People having money taken out of their account does mean that the phones have been or very shortly will be dispatched. Maybe they could leave China tomorrow? I know a lot of people were saying today was the cut off day.

Thanks. Yeah it's unlocked and sim free, so hopefully be fairly painless.

Only bummer is that I go straight to work and won't be home till about 2300, so it'll just be a rather attractive brick for 12 hours. I know I can do an iCloud restore or something, but I'll be away from mains and a bulletproof wifi connection for that period and I don't particularly want to blow a few gb of my EE data just because I'm impatient :). Plus, I'm old fashioned, I've always restored from a local backup.

Well, I'm in a similar boat. I collect mine at 10am, but my son wants to be there when I unbox the new iPhone, so I have to wait until he gets home from school, about 3.30pm. He's my Mac buddy. What can I say?
I don't have to post my current phone off to Envirofone until the Saturday morning, so that's not so bad.

You joke but I really want a bigger screen than the plus. Think it would be amazing. Maybe not 7" but 6". For some reason I think the 7 will probably lose the home button. Would be interesting

Apparently there is a big 747 jumbo jet with our iPhones on it, on its way to Cologne as we speak for European iPhones, then its heading over to the USA.

Truth is no one knows and it's all speculation. It's what makes this forum a great place for panic and paranoia.

Based on past launches the phones are either in the uk or on way to Hinkley. They'll get distributed to couriers and we'll see tracking from that point. So likely Thursday.

That's if they don't ship direct from China

Sorry to hear that Badmelon, I've always got there really early and haven't been dissapointed with my choice of model , saying that I do book time off and prepare for a long haul . I did queue for almost 4 days !!!!!!!

Some people are saying they haven't left China yet, some are saying they are already in UK Warehouses... What are we supposed to believe?

A screensize around 5.1 inch and 1080p and better battery life would probably be enough to make me sell the 6s for the 7 next year.
