I remember this too. However, again if I remember correctly, someone was told by UK Mail that due to the increased workload in delivering iPhones on launch day, they cannot guarantee the delivery time slot and it should be ignored. Some people missed their delivery which happened outside the slot they were given.

Well since we can see what street it's on, I'm going to drive around and find that driver haha. Only joking *looks around for reassurance, but wasn't actually joking*

I had a text from EE saying there would be a slight delay on my delivery of up to 21 days!

I hope this is an error but not impressed. Having said that I have my apple online order and reservation slots for Friday so I will still get a new iPhone.

How many phones have you ordered?

Not aimed at you directly @spinstorm but you are helping to create the situation you want to avoid-a lack of phones.

I've ordered one for me via a reservation and one for my wife for launch day delivery, but I think ordering multiple phones is a bit of a dick move.

Your best bet is to try and reserve one at 6am on Saturday the 26th at 6am.

Yep thats the best way saturday at 6am, and if that doesnt work your only bet is to check reservations daily in case stock comes into stores.

Nobody knows when and how often Apple get deliveries but if they do then stock will be available for resevation.

Last year i asked Apple and they didnt know when the iP6 were coming into store all i was told os try and reserve

Iv got 2 phones on order but 2 phones will be used.

1 from O2 for myself and I have ordered my girlfriend one from Apple

Both Space Grey 128gb 6S+ - I kind of wish I ordered her one with a different colour on the back but I am sure she will be fine with the Space Grey!

That is fair enough. I am working all day Friday. I don't know if anyone will be at home to receive delivery and I am not going to be back at home on a working day for two weeks at least due to work.

So I placed an online order. And I did an upgrade. But I knew that I may not be able to get the phone with either (not home or as has happened EE have delayed it). So I did some online reservations for delivery day evening over a few hours between 7pm and 9.30pm at Westfield White City.

If I end up walking into store to purchase I will happily give up my other reservations for anyone else waiting at the same time because I am not trying to stop people getting the phone they want on launch day either.

If I am to queue up somewhere I'd do so at an Apple store to get a fully unlocked one.

My prediction is that if you're happy with a 64GB iPhone 6S in Silver or Space Grey, you'll be absolutely fine to walk in on Friday morning to any UK retail apple store and get one.

If you want any other model, you might struggle.

At least based on the reservation availability when they took the system offline on Monday morning:

Has anyone that ordered from Carphone Warehouse had any other notifications on the DPD Tracker other than it being in Oldbury 2 days ago?

it sounds like you've ordered 4 or 5 phones...

Yes.

Completely unlocked.

Forever!

How are people who ordered from Apple's status looking? I ordered at about 8:03 a 6s plus 128gb saying delivery on 25/9 but no dispatch yet. Everyone else in the same boat? When do we think we will get dispatch notifications and tracking?

Because this has never been asked before, I'll answer it for you.

Tomorrow night. ;)

I'm in the same boat as you. Getting sick of seeing "Preparing For Dispatch". I think we'll see tracking either tonight or tomorrow.

Its pretty annoying, I called up Oldbury DPD this morning and they told me they haven't even got the phones off of CPW yet, but obviously the tracker is stating otherwise.

I doubt they will pick them up before tomorrow night. Wont be DPD's choice but CPW

I guess so, I just called up again quickly and they told me that they're having to work crazy hours because its 'a co-ordinated overnight operation'.

Why are they complaining theyl be getting paid overtime not like they're working for free lol. But yea I can imagine it will be. It may be that they pick them up tonight and deliver to local depots, then they sit there tomorrow and get loaded to vehicles friday morning.

Who knows

Either way we're getting ours Friday :)

Those who have ordered through O2, Vodafone, EE & 3- you must surely be aware by now that these companies offer the worst levels of communications (ironically) to their customers with regards to orders.

I have a unsubstantiated fear that Vodafone confirm all NEW customers first and leave upgrade customers last.

Its a case of dealing with the workload and making sure they don't break the rules. I believe that Apple have strictly told Carriers not to allow shipment to be completed any sooner than Friday. Apple has wanted to ensure that the media and other outlets get them first.

Yes we are! I can't wait any longer, I keep looking at the tracker hoping it will change!
