Interesting re John Lewis, I'm presuming these are the identical phones that Apple sell, in terms of being FULLY unlocked & SIM free?
According to there website they aren't fully unlocked. They look to the first network of the first sim card inserted soo a bit like the CPW one's which sucks :/

Giffgaff also offer the iPhone now however on all models and colours it says out of stock ? Really strange ..

It seems like if you ordered a 6s plus that isn't space grey from Three you won't be getting it until the 9th of Oct. really disappointed with that. Especially considering at the time of upgrade and even now on the website they give an est delivery of the 25th of sept. Oh well another two weeks to go

Damn after reading too many nightmare stories about trying to get these things unlocked I might just keep the apple order.

Feeling sheltered, I haven't experienced any of this locking sim BS before and thought phones had moved passed it.

I still think a buyer, especially one who's from eBay would pay more knowing it had a year actual warranty left.

Originally bought a 16gb rose gold from Apple that's being delivered tomorrow but regret not getting more memory so just ordered a 64gb from JL and can pick up tomorrow.

Do you know if I can return my 16gb in store to apple or do I have to send it off? Never returned an apple product before.

With John Lewis they give you 2 year warranty for the same price phone from Apple
If your phone developed a hardware fault after its first year Apple would have some case to answer for. Be happy with the pone you'll get tomorrow knowing you will sell it after a year to get the 7 anyway

My order is showing as being dispatched on the 19/9/15 which is great but I still cant get the UPS tracking number to work. Has anyone who has been allocated UPs got their tracking to work?

I've got two coming via UPS - and neither of the tracking numbers work on the UPS site. I'm assuming they haven't even been sent yet - probably sitting in a warehouse in the UK somewhere - and they will get collected today for delivery tomorrow. So the tracking will probably work tonight??

As far as I'm aware it doesn't. At least from my personal observation my iPad charger doesn't seem to charge my iPhone faster. As far as I'm aware the iPhone just draws as much power as it needs and no more so there is no advantage to using an iPad charger. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

My ipad air2 charger charges my iPhone 6 very noticibly faster than the iphone charger does

Oh, while I'm here, anyone else have DPD tracking when ordered direct from Apple? I thought Apple always used UK mail?

Can't return online purchases to store. They have to be sent back. When you tell Apple you want to return you'll have the option of it being collected of you can use one of many ups drop off points

Under EU law you have more than 1 year anyway. Apple won't advertise this but if your phone is faulty you can get it swapped out. I did with an old 5S that developed a screen fault. Replaced 6 months out of warranty period.

I had a 4s that went faulty after 13 months Apple wanted me to pay £125 to repair it just thought 24months is good

Really? How did you do this ? Just for future reference
Thanks.

European Directive 1999/44/EC says all EU countries have to ensure a retailer could be held liable for all "non-conformities" which manifest within two years from delivery.

The U.K. SOGA supersedes this and why it is sometimes argued, but if the product can be deemed 'unfit for purpose' you will have a case.
