I thought that I had lucked out this morning. Was in Guildford and went into the Apple reseller and asked for the phone. To my surprise he said he'd go and get it, then returned to say they only had one 16GB one left.

Its a 360 degree case that comes with a custom tempered glass protector only cost around £5 from aliexpress.com (link) took a while to get here though as China Post has notoriously long shipping times but as far as cases go its amazing

Been trying to live with it but can't help but notice it.
Called them today but everyone seems to want me to return and order from scratch and wait 4 weeks. Applecare wanted me to go to the Genius bar, which i despise with passion...especially the London based stores.
Can't be asked really, not in the mood to try and play a lottery. Think i'll just skip this generation and stick with my trusty 6 Plus. Unfortunately means more outlay for iPhone 7 but so be it.
It wasn't deliberate ...just that I wasn't that impressed with the 5 or 6 when they first came out! it's worked out for the better specs wise, no doubt.
The "Usage" under battery is definitely wrong on my 6s Plus - It says I've used it for 4 hours today with 18 hours standby.
The standby is correct, but I spent at least 10 hours listening to music and I've been using the phone pretty heavily today.

Yes, they wanted me to wait around 3 weeks for a replacement 6s but I decided to send it back for a refund. I have bought one from John Lewis and it should be getting delivered on Monday according to my order page. I know it'll lock to the first SIM inserted but that does not bother me! I just hope the buttons are OK on the new handset! We shall see next week when it arrives!
All I can see is that it seems to have a warm tint to it compared to the other one. Admittedly it gives the whites a yellow hue.
Still having a hard time backing up my 5s. I've had no luck backing up to my friends laptop and I can't backup to iCloud at all! Stressing out a little bit because I really want to save my photos and and I need to send the handset off to enviro phone by 01/10.

Open Image Capture and you can import all your photos. A good solution to keep the pics if you can't get the backup to work.
Sadly I don't. At the time I needed to replace my laptop I couldn't afford another Mac
if I can do that with another laptop can I put this back on my phone?
I rarely plug my phone into my computer and it took forever to backup but eventually got there! I left it literally hours and hours!!!! Maybe if you can leave it ages? Hope you can find a solution.

When you say you can't back up to iCloud do you mean the normal 'backup' that happens when the phone is on charge and not being used, to Photostream, or to iCloud Photo Library?

Yes, that. It refuses to backup! The backup wheel spins but it never starts. The little blue indicator line has never moved either! I've tried doing a quick reset and nope.... Nothing.
Can other people with the 6s plus please confirm that their iPhone doesn't have the yellow hue effect

I swear this has been pointed out for this model though? My whites aren't a brilliant white either but then again not that bad of a yellow
Have you already activated your new phone and that's running OK? The reason I ask is that maybe the 5S isn't backing up because there's already a backup up there called Scarlet Siren's iPhone (or something). I had an issue with my S Plus not doing a backup and I actually had to delete my older backup before it would backup. Maybe try changing the name of the phone in Settings to Scarlet Siren's Old iPhone and see what happens?

This can happen. Its the adhesive that bonds the glass to the lcd. Happens every year as there getting the phones out so fast. It goes away after a few days.
tbh I hadn't noticed it until that post. But a few videos that have side by side comparisons of the 6S Plus and 6Plus (for speed etc) do show a warmer hue to the S version. Probably Apple have been tweaking again. If anyone read that as twerking you need help
