I've noticed a massive different in battery life going from a 6 to a 6s Plus. I've hammered my phone today, I've been out most of the day, taking photo's, a couple of video's I streamed the F1 qualifying. 47% at 19:25. Unplugged at 7am. No way the 6 could have handled that much usage.
Same I noticed I'm getting more battery life compared to my old iPhone 6 probably due to the A9 and a brand new battery.

Old iPhone 6 128gb gold (7 hours 33 minutes 5%)
New iPhone 6s 128gb space grey all same settings ( 8 hours 21 minutes 17%)

tbh I hadn't noticed it until that post. But a few videos that have side by side comparisons of the 6S Plus and 6Plus (for speed etc) do show a warmer hue to the S version. Probably Apple have been tweaking again. If anyone read that as twerking you need help ;)

I've seen a few tweets about a yellow tint to their 6+ screen.

So not just me.

Apple probably switched display manufacturers or changed calibrations this revision.

Are they usage times? What about standby times as well? :)

Its a 360 degree case that comes with a custom tempered glass protector only cost around £5 from aliexpress.com (link) took a while to get here though as China Post has notoriously long shipping times but as far as cases go its amazing
Thanks, I really like the look of that in clear for my 6S+.

I'm using a Spigen clear thingy that I bagged for 99p which I like, but it's one of those that exposes the top and bottom of the phone, which is the stuff of nightmares for me!

On another note, I applied my MediaDevil glass screen protector today.

It's went on fine, works fine and isn't noticeable. :)

How are those of you upgrading from 6 or 6+ feeling about the weight difference?

I probably wouldn't have noticed at all, except I picked up my 6 (to restore and send off for recycling) this afternoon, after 24 hours with the 6S. I was surprised by how much lighter it felt. Though if you put one in each hand, its relatively difficult to feel a difference.

To be honest with you I feel much, much happier with my 6S+ in terms of weight than I did my 6+.

In terms of a yellow tint on my screen it was apparent when I switched my iPhone on yesterday but has disappeared now

D'OH I'm so anti Google (in so much as I don't use their apps much) I didn't even think of Drive. I just suggested essentially the same thing using iCloud Photo Library. I'm a muppet.

I use a few. Just to be 100% sure my important photographs are safe. So I back them up with drop box. Google drive and iCloud as well as keeping them on my phone and a use drive.

Overkill I know but I'd rather do that than chance losing them.

No ...it's buttery smooth here, even with live wallpapers active. Did you restore from an older backup, i.e.: pre iOS 9.0.1, or did you update before restoring from back up?

I set it up as a brand new iPhone.

My friend is having the same issue on the i6 so looks to be a software issue.

BTW, can anyone recommend an edge to edge screen protector? The Moshi iVisor has a rainbow effect :(

Not noticing the weight difference at all but I'm usually carrying in a case so maybe not the best judge.

Further to my earlier battery comments: 6S Plus, unplugged at 08:00, 1hr 36min usage 8hrs 20min standby, 17% battery used, 83% left (obviously)

That usage includes using the GPS on a bike ride, some browsing, air playing of audio and messing with 3D Touch. On the whole I'm happy so far I think

Okay, loving having the plus size back after using a 5 for a few weeks. Was a bit of a shock at first but after a day of use I'm back in the zone.

Set up went smooth apart from key chain issues. After a call back from Apple today it would appear my iCloud account has been in troubleshooting mode since 2012 after an iCloud issue back then. All refreshed and back in order now.

The battery life is awesome on this thing, the only thing I would advise others if they aren't noticing the battery life is to turn off hey Siri and do a full discharge and charge to ensure the battery hits it's full potential!

I love the Taptic feedback from the 3D Touch, with my screen protector in place I have set it to highly sensitive and it works really well.

Other plus' are the 2gb of RAM, Live Photos and the unbelievably quick fingerprint sensor!!!

I must say this has got to be the best 'S' iPhone upgrade I have ever seen and I've had every iPhone since apart from the 3 and 3GS. I will obviously be getting the 7 when that comes out next year but I'm happy with my intermediary upgrade from 6+ to 6S +. I think if I hadn't have upgraded is been lusting for one right now.

The upgrade has cost me £210 after selling my 6+ 64gb for £490. I personally am happy with those figures.

I feel very odd about my new 6S Plus. First of all I really want a Rose Gold one. I don't know why but I do. To me it looks copper and that looks cool.

I realise everything has changed but I don't feel that excited about it now I have it... maybe I need rose gold!

On a massive positive note for me I sold my 6 Plus 128GB for £540 on eBay so the new phone only cost me £140!

It's actually more pink in real life

Does anyone know how to get rid of linked contacts? On my contacts everyone has like 3 profiles? So one main contact and two of the same under linked contacts.

Trying to organise iCloud contacts is hell, I have more than one iCloud account and several Gmail. My contacts are totally ****ed I have contacts that have been combined automatically and I am not even going to try an fix it.

A tip for anybody looking for decent prices for their old phone - I sold my iPhone 5 16 GB unlocked to Game for £170 cash this afternoon - way more than I was quoted anywhere else (or would have got from eBay). Makes the 6s purchase a bit lighter on the pocket than I was expecting!

Hi everyone, just thought I'd let you know how I got on yesterday. Trafford Centre Store was great. Not too busy. Reservation system fine, and I picked up my Rose Gold 6S 64Gb. Feels a bit small coming from the 6 plus which is to be expected, and the battery isn't as good which I was expecting. The chap that served me, Luke, was really nice and took his time. I mentioned my Apple Watch and how I was just out of the return period and I would have liked one of the new colours. He swapped it for me for the rose gold sport watch, and I bought the lavender silicone case (soft soft soft), so my iPhone and watch match lovely. Very girly. Rose Gold does look coppery in some light. I'm really happy with the colour.

I've been on the new 6s a lot, so I know the battery will settle in a few days. I'm 90% keeping it, even though I miss the bigger screen and battery. I don't miss the weight and size. It's nice to go back to using a phone one-handed. Another 13 days to make up my mind!

I hope everyone is enjoying their new iPhones and haven't had any issues. Has anyone compared 6s and 6s plus performance? Any lagging on the s plus?

Yes having a contacts mare myself... I may give in and just pop on to apple chat to try and see if theres a solution

So far 1 day in I am loving the 6S Plus. Fast, smooth and looks great. The weight is good and does not feel too thin which was a concern coming from an iPhone 4

Had some problems getting my contacts to sync as well. Toggled them off and on again a few times before everything came though.

Linked contacts
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH11585?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US

Also check your accounts in mail, contacts, calendars section on iPhone settings. Multiple contacts can be an issue if you have ticked for contacts to be imported from accounts that you do not want connected.

or
Open contacts, tap one of the names, tap edit, scroll down to linked contacts, tap the minus sign on contact to unlink.

or
To merge a contact card with another:

  1. Find the first card of the contact you have multiple cards for.
  2. Tap the Edit button in the top right of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap “Link Contacts...”
  4. Select the contacts other contact card. Tap the Link button on this card’s screen.
  5. Tap Done. This will merge both cards together.
  6. (Optional) To unlink the contact cards simply tap the red minus button next to one of the card’s names under the LINKED CONTACTS heading.

So i picked up my 6s Plus 128gb Space Grey yesterday from Covent Garden. I must say though the Rose Gold is Pink. No doubt about it.
But anyway...I toyed with the idea of buying a Samsung Note 5...But in the end the fragmented nature of Android swayed me towards iOS. I know iOS is a walled garden compared to Android, but i don't mind that.
I ordered a Spigen full glass screen protector (hope it's good) and a rather expensive German crafted carbon fibre case. Toyed with the idea of a leather case but fancied something different.

Great forum by the way!

It sounds like they gave you 5s money for your 5!

I solved my contacts problem which added bonus of fixing the one I had problems with regarding the only number display when being messaged! So I had to go onto iTunes and remove all my contacts and sync it by iCloud instead
