Thanks - most of the internet seems jealous to the point of mass homicide if you get the flu before them. I appreciate some other person I've never met being pleased for me when they're still trying to get theirs.

Good luck and I'm sure there will be more stock tomorrow, if not they will deliver Monday for availability Tuesday. I'm sure your tip to log in to the Apple store first helped as well.

At least it isn't as bad as the situation when I got my 5S. I waited for at least a couple of weeks, and then ended up getting a PAYG one from my carrier because I was fed up waiting for availability at the Apple store.

No jealousy here, it gives me hope when others manage to get hold of what they want!

No stock again today humph!

So I bought the 64GB 6S yesterday and had a play around last night, my initial impressions (coming from the 4):

Size will take some getting used to but the screensize is so much better, used the 4 this morning and it seemed tiny.
Need to test the battery life properly but I managed to drain it from 85% to 10% and then from 25% to 3% in the one evening, I guess I was using it more than I usually would though.
The force touch is interesting, I forget to use it and it feels like you have to press the screen a little too hard even with it on 'light' sensitivity. Is it just me? The peek and pop thing feels like my thumbs groing through the screen :p

For those with battery concerns.

Your battery drain depends a lot on signal strength. Even on wifi a low cell signal will cause significantly greater battery drain. Its also worth noting that a full 5 bars happens when the signal is at 40% or greater. So not even a strong signal.

Using the phone for browsing will drain around 10% every hour of usage. That's with the brightness at default. If you like a bright screen then expect 15% per hour.

Overnight it's normal to loose 10% battery with a 3 bar signal. More if you have less bars.

Overnight put it in flight mode for 2-3% power loss.

If you play games expect the battery to get rinsed.

So doing some side by side comparisons between the regular and s line I've noted the following conclusions:

- Apple apps load times are similar but the S line excels with heavy duty apps like the App Store, Facebook and Skype.
- Safari loads pages a lot faster, it's really noticeable when you do a side by side comparison.
- Camera quality is a lot better, especially with OIS on the plus. Going to do the tests once I've fully swapped back to the regular.
- 3D Touch is cool, it's not widely adopted but it's the starting point to something that will be really useful in the future. I find myself using it the most in Safari to peek into other pages.
- Touch ID is insanely fast.
- The weight is interesting to me because I found that the 6S plus is absolutely fine when it comes to its weight. I moved from the regular 6 temporarily and find it rather confusing when people bring up the issue with its weight.
- The 6S plus is definitely easier to hold then the old models but I'm not sure if this is due to a slight design change or it's because I'm holding a bigger device.

This might be common knowledge but I had sold 2 phones to envirofone on my account both with different deadlines. The first phone I sent back they received but applied it to my latest sold device on my account. So instead of putting it on the sale which was due to expire first they put it on the newest, which of course might by the time they received my second device my offer would have expired. Trying to sort it out now with them.

Ahhh this is so annoying i keep changing my mind. One minute I'm going to return the Plus and then i sit there and think, hmmm maybe i could deal with the size. 1st world problems honestly :/

Honestly this is how I feel haha.. But I've just forced myself to call the returns team!

I know this will end up with me sat there with 2 phones and a load of cases and still have no clue what to do.

So far i may have to return the Plus and 2 x Apple cases (1 silicone and 1 leather, i haven't even received the leather one yet i only ordered it saturday when i thought i would keep the phone and they've already shipped it so i can't cancel it). Last night i ordered a 6S in Gold and another case. They've already shipped the case but the phone is back ordered for 1-2 weeks so I'm trying to get the phone from John lewis. But now i think it will feel too small when i get it!

This is ridiculous why can't Apple just make 1 phone so we don't have these choices.

I've ordered the plus through three and been told I can't give it back, once I have it I'm stuck with it even if I don't like it!

Is the size just too big?
Does it fit ok in trousers etc?

Yeah it fits in my trousers just about.

It depends really, I'm not used to using these phablet sized phones. I came from a 6 and i have generally found it a bit unwieldy to use and a bit of an effort when I'm out and about. Its difficult to use one handed as well. I don't think the Apple Silicone case is helping thats why i ordered a leather one instead which i had last time and is much nicer.

Loads of people like them so I'm sure you will. But the weight and bulky size has made me think twice.

Three don't accept returns?? Sounds a bit odd, I'm with O2 and you have 14 days if you change your mind to return the phone, if your on O2 refresh tariff then you can only do this once.

Changed my mind and decided now to keep the 6s plus as battery life on 6s was not as good.

I went from 6plus to 6s and I'm still undecided. Battery is about half of 6 plus, and I wasn't expecting it to be that bad, maybe a third less. I'm going to give it a few more days. Was it just the battery that made to go back to plus?

Did you ordered it online via three if you did use the Distance selling regulations.

I upgraded from the 6 to the 6s+ and the weight feels right. The whole phones feels sturdier, and rigid. It maybe the heaviest iPhone yet, but it balances well across it's size.
I have handled my 6 and the 6s in store since getting my 6s+ and they feel flimsy in comparison.

Honestly the 6 is tiny if you've used the plus. If you can live without using is as much in public while moving or one handed use then the plus is fine. I have the regular 6 and the 6s Plus on me now and I prefer using my 6 for some things whilst browsing on the Plus is really nice because of the screen estate. Can't wait to see what 7 brings. I know I'll be happier in the long term with the regular variant.

Every phone carrier should have a 14 days clause where you can return a device if you're unhappy. Three was lying through their teeth

Well I've ordered a 6S 64Gb in gold for click and collect tomorrow at John Lewis. To be honest its pretty good as you get a 2 year guarantee and i checked with the guy on the phone and he said i can return it up to 90 days for a refund, as long as the phone is restored to factory settings its not a problem. Rather impressed.

So will be sat tomorrow with a 6S and a 6S Plus... Bet ill change my mind about 15 times before then. Sigh!

Yes I've read so many posts saying it's too heavy and I just can't wrap myself to think why because it's very light to me. Sure the old models may be lighter but the 20 grams doesn't even make a massive difference and I've been up from the regular variant so the 50-60 gram difference isn't even noticable because the weight distribution on such a big device isn't even bad.

But going back to the regular because the device is just so clumsy to use whilst walking etc and I tend to do that a lot when I have to get a quick web page up or if I need to get a map route or something. I felt like getting the phone out in public was a chore. Plus when I was in public transport, I felt like I was broadcasting my entire messages to the other passengers.

If the 7 is 5" then I would honestly be sold but then again I would probably get it anyway...

Please don't get me started with three I purchased a iPhone 6 last year via three sim free. Device came with dead pixels they refuse to swap me a new one and even refuse to refund me.
So at the end I took it to the head office took me around two months to recieve a full refund lesson learnt stick to Apple for sim free phones.
