So I enjoyed following this thread last year. Glad it is back again:)

Wasn't even thinking of getting the new iPhone. But found I can get £405 from enviro phone. Locked it in for 14 days. So I can wait and decide. If the price goes up then I will cancel my order and place another. Currently got iPhone 6 Plus 64GB.

Is there a way of letting your card company know you are going to make a purchase of around £700 so they won't block the payment for fraud? And having to reorder.

Did you use EXTRA5 code on envirophone to get an extra 5%? I didn't discover code until after I did first 'order' so redid and it worked. Just need to make sure I send it back in the right envelope (I cunningly altered my address so it is easy to spot the difference!)

Code got me an extra tenner on my trade in price for my 64gb 5s :)

Yes - phone them in advance and see if they'll put a note on your account. I did this once buying a car to avoid any potential embarrassment - though it was probably about 10 years ago. The sales guy at the garage was flabbergasted that the transaction (for £13k) went straight through without him having to dial up for authorisation.

I think it is a bit like notifying them that you are travelling abroad.

I want to get the 6s delivered to a different address. How does the address change work? Not sure when exactly you change the billing address to the new delivery one, and when to change it back again? Don't want the preorder getting declined during verification.

Only 2 days after the event?
It's normally the Friday after the event, like last years 6 was announced on the 9th of September with pre-orders on the 12th and delivery on the 19th :)

The article was posted on June 6th, so it's possible it could have changed since then.
It could also be just Vodafone guessing when it will be released, we'll just need to wait and see.

On the App or on the store?

I think for both you just go into your account settings and set up the 'billing address' and then 'shipping address' so that once you come to actually place the order it will automatically know where it's getting shipped to.

Assuming you are referring to buying direct from Apple and long as you are not using Apple finance (Paypal or Barclays) to buy you can select a different delivery address to your billing address. At least I have been able to do so in the past as I usually get Apple orders delivered to my work.

You are not actually changing the billing address. Go into your Apple account and set the correct billing and delivery addresses now to save time at checkout.

I've actually just checked my account now and my shipping address has already been changed...lol. I must've done it last year!

Thanks for that. Will cancel mine later and put it through again. Will get an extra £20 with that code. I may also use your cunning plan of altering the address.

:)

I would place the new order before cancelling the old one - and do it quick before the price drops! There is no easy way to cancel online other than by e-mail - you will just effectively have 2 orders but not return one. I have just left both live.

I have an extra district area I can add into my address between the street and city name that I do not normally use so I popped that into my second order address.

Funnily enough I found the code looking through a few pages of last years version of this thread (for tariff info) and was surprised to find it still works!

Thanks for this code! An extra £20 on top, plus an extra £22 on top of that if i go with the Amazon gift card. I'd use that for Christmas prezzies! :)

So, I take it today is the recommended day for placing an 'order' on Envirophone?

Or perhaps just after midnight tonight, would that allow an extra day to send in?

Not sure - nothing to stop you trying both in case it does drop on the stroke of midnight! Am getting same price today as yesterday but as we know it tends to drop straight after announcement.

Am resigned to the fact I may be without a phone for a few days if I don't have new iPhone in my hand on the 18th Sept.

Am using my £209 towards payment of new iPhone so went for cash rather an Amazon but great if you know you'll use it for Christmas.

Envirofone sometimes offer an extension don't they? An additional 7 days past the return date?

Anyone used Envirofone before ? Assuming your phone is undamaged do you get the quoted price ? I'm assuming there's no commitment to sell ? If the 14 days lapse then that's it.
Not sure I'm going to buy the 6s (Plus) yet (I've got a 6 Plus) - depends on specs but this 14 day fixed price looks a pretty good deal.
Thanks

It's worth setting up a 'sale' today to give you the option at the best price. Before envirofone I set a trade in up with O2 but the price was about £25 less. EE (my current network on sim only) was even less.

_______

I just went on their online chat and got them to cancel the sale I did without extra 5% - but I think it would have just lapsed otherwise. To do this on chat they needed either your customer reference number, the sales reference number or I think your email and address. I gave the advisor the sales reference to ensure the correct one was cancelled (and it was). I checked my account whilst I was on with the advisor.

I also note looking at their website again that for sales over £250 you get to send the phone back Special Recorded delviery for free. As my sale was only £209 I'll need to pay extra if I want tracked / recorded delivery (or take the risk it doesn't get lost but I don't think I will).

Also you don't need to send in boxes, chargers or earphones - in fact you don't get any extra cash if you do - which is a bonus as I like to keep my chargers as spares plus my kitty kat just ate through one of my lightning leads!

_______

In other news I have been reviewing my finances and think I am going to buy outright again direct from Apple :):):):):) was thinking I might go onto contract again to get phone for less but don't think I need to. Am assuming a 128gb 6s will be no more than £699............in fact I am assuming it will be £699!!

I take it you mean O2 Recycle? If so they do price match to Envirophone (I did that last year - but it turns out the company who does the valuations on O2's phones also owns Envirophone).

I think with O2 they give you 14 days too, and at the 10 day mark they email you asking if you'd like the price to be held for another 7 days (so 17 days total I think, maybe not 21).

I don't know if Envirophone also do the 7 day extension? Could be handy! I'm not sure if O2 would price match the 5% increase promo code though.

yes I did mean O2 recycle - will prob stick with Envirophone but interesting to know about the price match and same valuers.

I'm making the same assumption, history supporting such a theory, here's hoping we're both right. Bye bye 16GB iPhone 5 :p

Or slightly wrong and it is less than our history supported theory!

Anyone planning on queuing up in the Meadowhall store? :) Hopefully this will be my first venture back on to iphone after over a year away (iphone 5) . Looking forward to it and sick of android already :)

edit: for the record, Im hoping to pre order and can wait 2-3 weeks for mine to arrive and dont want/need it that instant!
