UK iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Thread

I called up UPS just now, after giving my tracking number to their automated robot it also told me its scheduled for Wednesday delivery. When I got through to a person, she told me her system showed it as still scheduled for tomorrow and it must be an error. She said she couldn't see it scheduled for Wednesday anywhere.

She told me if the tracking status didn't update tomorrow to out for delivery I could give them a call and they could speak to my local depot but I couldn't do that now only tomorrow.

To be honest I think she was lying that she couldn't see the updated tracking status. Might try and find the number of my local depot.

I can't imagine any reason it wouldn't be delivered tomorrow so it must be an error, I'm actually hoping it might go out today as I've seen items with a destination scan as late as 10am go out for delivery the same day :)
 
Every new iPhone seems to out sell the previous model - so why do Apple never compensate for this? Waiting over a month for a product that already exists seems like something you wouldn't experience anywhere else.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I see an estimated delivery time of "11:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M." on the tracking page when I sign into my UPS account, but still showing Wednesday, no new statuses.
 
Would it be inappropriate to go and buy a 6+ from an Apple Store just to check I'm ok with the size, with the intent of returning it for the 6s+ once I'm sure and they have stock?

As above you have 14 days to return the phone for a full refund... or you could go into an Apple store and have a play around with a 6S+ to see how you find the size?

Why not buy a cheap 6plus case off eBay? That will give you a good idea of the size
You can pick them up for 0.99p. Much easier than buying a phone and returning it.

He may want to try out the keyboard on the s as then plus has a bigger keyboard to type on.

Why buy it. Just play with the display models.

This year was really good. A week after the pre sales went up you could still order most models. Normally they are gone within the minute.

The issue is it is hugely expensive to create a massive production line to get enough stock for release day and then scale back for the remainder.

Also depends on your model. Plus is gone but the regular 6s is available at pretty much every Apple Store right now in all colours and all sizes.

That site wasn't good for me at the weekend. Even though Manchester was showing 128gb plus in stock on the Apple Store. That istock was showing none in stock.

You can either go nuclear and turn off notifications for each app or disable the show on lock screen so it wont wake up the phone.

Yeah, I obviously need to wrestle both phones off them and compare all settings side-by-side. Contrary to my earlier post, I guess the most likely explanation is that their user-configurable settings now differ in some 'vital' regard.
 
Is anyone else having trouble accessing their account?

I can't log in on any device and can't access any of my music or tv shows, movies, apps etc.
 
Has anyone who upgraded through Vodafone (directly) on pre-order day had their card charged yet?

Spoke to Live Chat a week ago and they told me it'd appear on my next bill.

Next bill has been generated and it's not showing.
 
Anyone else getting peed off with the bloody location constantly on?! Turned off as many as I can but it doesn't fail to pop up!!!!

Do you have the Apple Store app installed? If so check the settings and disable in store notifications.

The location settings will show you what's currently using it with a purple arrow. Don't forget to check system services but that will only light up if you enable that in settings.

Don't forget. Location services don't always use gps but rather wifi points and your cell signal to figure out your location so not putting any demand on your battery

don't suppose you know what the UPS site said before delivery? my tracking still says Wednesday too, I've ordered the same phone as you but my last status update was a destination scan
