Guys re ups mine just turned up so don't take notice of what the site says its out for delivery today

great, lucky I'm at home this week otherwise I would have missed it if it turns up today, I take it yours doesn't say it's out for delivery then?

Still no regrets with going with the 6s+. When I hold my missus iphone 5c I burst out in laughter.

"You call that a phone? THIS is a phone"

Anyways, only thing getting me vex currently is the awful awful lag on Whatsapp (last update has killed it). Also the grey icons in the app store update screen irritates me.

Couldn't care less about Chipgate, not even going to take a look at what chip I have because I don't want one on my shoulder. Battery life is exactly what the hype informed me it would be. Immense.

don't suppose you know what the UPS site said before delivery? my tracking still says Wednesday too, I've ordered the same phone as you but my last status update was a destination scan

Mine said Wednesday also, prior to it suddenly saying delivered. Fortunately someone was in at home!

I recall you had exact dates as me so hopefully yours will turn up soon, good luck.

thanks and congrats on getting your phone :)

if I had missed it they would have left something wouldn't they?, our door bell doesn't work so I was planning on camping by the door haha but haven't been around today as I wasn't expecting it

Yeah, worse case scenario you get multiple further delivery attempts.

Don't think I answered your question earlier. I didn't see it say Out for Delivery at any point, last time I looked it said it was at North Cotes (or something) today. Then again, I didn't monitor it today behind a quick look at breakfast.

Why buy it. Just play with the display models.

I'd want to live with it for a while, see how it fits in pockets etc, and typing/handling. I've tried both and 6s feels nicer in the hand, but I want the better battery and larger screen for browsing etc. I could regret it, but rather than wait 3 weeks for stock, I could regret it now :)

ah hoping I might see mine today then, thanks for responding :)

I'm on O2 and my mobile internet is not working on 3G/4G, O2 coverage status checker not reporting any issues? It was working so I don't know what has happened?

Do you have the Apple Store app installed? If so check the settings and disable in store notifications.

The location settings will show you what's currently using it with a purple arrow. Don't forget to check system services but that will only light up if you enable that in settings.

Don't forget. Location services don't always use gps but rather wifi points and your cell signal to figure out your location so not putting any demand on your battery
I've literally turned everything I can off but even I notice when I'm just texting the filled in grey arrow will appear... tried restarting etc, nothing.

popped an order in for a 64GB 6s plus in space grey, but hoping stock pops up in stores sooner. Said 2-3 weeks but estimated delivery is 2-6 Nov. Thats more like 3-4 weeks - is shipping normally so slow?

Will be checking retail stores and will cancel online if I can.

Are John Lewis confirmed properly SIM free - i.e won't lock to the first sim? How about Carphone Warehouse?

Finally, hours later, my new 6S+ is fully restored, about 110gb on there now (lots of video and locally stored music - I'm old fashioned). Played with it for the last hour, already I can see the benefit of the 2gb ram - it hasn't flushed my podcast app (Overcast) once so far (really irked me that I'd pause it in CC, do a couple of other things, reopen CC...and pressing play defaults back to the music player, grr). Quite a big deal for me as I listen to a tonne of podcasts. The experience seems in line with my Air 2, the biggest motivator for me buying it. 3D Touch, better camera is the icing on the cake.

Do like the swipe across the screen to go back to last app, once that becomes instinctive it'll be a time saver - those split seconds add up. Will likely still double press home button for the switcher though, old habits and it still seems a little more intuitive.

It does feel notably heavier than my 6+, but also sturdier. Within a day of use I'll likely forget the difference.

Was the most trouble free restore I've done I'm pleased to say. Preaching to the converted here, but really is worth remembering to encrypt your backup prior to restoring.

Oh...and I've no idea what the chip is, I may investigate out of curiosity in a week or so, but I'm going to form my opinions on the battery beforehand. My old 6+ had a battery health of about 88% yet was still more than enough to get me through the day, so I don't forsee too many battery woes (I hope).

I've put the Spigen glas tr on my 6s plus but am already thinking of taking it off. I've managed to put it on 90% correctly but it's slightly "off" and that drives me nuts! It's fine when using the phone as you can't see it. Feels good too. However, I never had one on my 6 plus and it was fine so I'm thinking of taking it off....
