I think you have up to 60 days from purchase to buy it.

I just realised that's for the Plus models. I think you have the regular 6S.

If it's specified in your policy, yes. But when you need to claim it'll go on record as a claim and your premium will go up next year. Premiums for other products are likely to go up too.

A claim on AppleCare+ doesn't impact you in this way.

Also, no filing claims and waiting. Most insurance company's will try every dodge in the book to avoid paying out. With Apple care, just walk into the Apple Store with the phone ( or the bits ) and walk out with a new phone. The only down side about it is that you are not covered for loss or theft.

Indeed but that's not my motivation. I don't use cases or screen protectors so I get AC+ for accidental damage protection.
