Very good point. I tried to make one for my watch and there was nothing in the app in the nearest 5 stores. Ended up going into reading just because they can see slots further out so I'm booked in for the 30th

My first experience of 'genius' and not impressed so far..

I suppose they are a victim of the own success, I can remember being able to get next day appointments around the time of the 4s, every year the delay for an appointment seems to get longer.

Don't see the point of AppleCare. You can have your phone covered under your home policy.

I work for an insurance company, dealing with property claims and for £50 excess it beats AppleCare as we just replace the iPhone or issue a cheque for the value of the phone.

You're missing the part where a claim will be recorded on your claim history and bump up your premium on the next renewal.

A tip for you if your having your iPhone sent of under warranty with Apple and you want to use the express service usually £29 for free, tell Apple your with three for some unknown reason they pay for the exchange service ,over the years I have had all mine exchanged this way I am with three but I don't think it makes any difference

Anyone using a decent glass screen protector?

I ordered a bunch of different ones from Amazon and they all fit really badly. Bubbles around the edges etc.

Currently got on the one that came with the ringke case and it fits so much better.

Not sure if I should keep buying glass ones till I find a decent one or order some 'normal' anker/media devil/tough skinz ones.

Opinions?

I know it's the wrong forum for this question but I could do with answer for this. Anyone know of any decent screen protectors in the UK, Thanks x

But how long does all that take? With AC+ if anything happens to my phone I can get it fixed or replaced in a couple of hours (providing the Apple Store is open of course). Home insurance will take days at best and up to a month probably (won't it?)

And that's exactly the reason I go for AC+.

I'm self employed and use my phone for business and there's no way I could go without my phone for several days or a couple of weeks should they want to send it away for repair.

Plus, what I don't like is what happens if after that I go in for a warranty repair (dead phone for example) and they say "Oh sorry sir, we can't replace the phone under warranty, as it's had 3 party parts fitted to it at some stage"?

That's not for me, I much prefer safety in the knowledge that in the event of me accidentally killing my phone, or even for a straight forward warranty repair/replacement, I can walk in to Apple and get a repair/replacement pretty much on the spot.

You get what you pay for and if you want the safety of Apple's level of CS, you have to pay for it.

If you prefer to go cheap, then you'll get cheaper levels of service and be without your phone for longer.

Risk vs reward and for me, AC+=low risk + high reward.

I imagine all you need to add applecare is your confirmation proof of purchase

Just phone them up with your address and email information and they'll have all your details of which phone you have and when you bought it. You then run a diagnostic test (settings, Privacy run diagnostics) and you're done! Easy.

Got my £1.99 Ozily case this morning.

Instead of buying a load of cheap ones, I did the opposite and bought one of these which are very expensive. Really good fit, very thick and comes in different colours. I'd buy one again.

Can anyone tell me are they experiencing the same or heard of this. So my apps that I regularly and have already done the whole "allow to use contacts and photos etc" keeps asking me again. Never had to do this before
