I see your point but I see it a little different, me and my other half have 2 contracts, they are due up every other year at this time, I always get the new phone, she gets the one I had! so I'm paying £60 a month for the 6s plus for 12 months, then next year I get the new one again! so thats £720 in total for a year which in my book is a good deal since the price for it upfront is £699 for the same phone, hope that makes sense!

See that makes sense! But for me, like being on a £60 contract for 24 months and huge upfront cost is just a big no no, I hate being tied into a contract and thats just very expensive

There's definitely never been stock this late in the day - really glad I woke up at 8AM now

I had to work today, so I woke up at 6.30... And I was driving to work at "go live time" so I had to find somewhere with decent 4g signal to pull over and prepare

Think huge tariffs are the norm now...think paying £20 a month sim free then buying phones is my route. Buy new phone every year. .sell it for £450 and only pay £300 for a new phone

That's what I am going to be doing from now on. From contracts being good deals now they are more like buying a phone on finance and paying a premium to split the cost.

I basically pay £40 a month and get a new phone every year. You would spend £45 a month.

I agree. Last year pulled in not just the upgraders who like the new exterior design iPhone every 2 years, but also all the non-iPhone users who had been waiting for a larger screen.

Also, there is a bit of a let-down for those customers who have preferred the 'S' iPhone releases.. the 4S and 5S have probably been Apple's best iPhones, but so far it is looking like the 6S doesn't make the leap over the 6 to justify inclusion in that little group.
I think there are people like me, who are sticking with their 5S, as they don't like the 6 series form factor, antenna lines, and sticking out camera!

I've got a 5s and the 6s plus on pre-order and the differences between the 6 to 6s excites me way more than 5 to 5s did. I was disappointed that the 5s didn't end up with a bigger screen and only had a minor bump in the camera. I'm glad to see what they've done with the camera in the 6s, and that they've finally upgraded the RAM to 2GB. Jury will be out for me on 3D Touch until I've had a chance to play with it, but I certainly like the idea of some of the Preview functionality and right click options in iOS.

Personally I feel this is one of the better S upgrades as it's taken what I really liked in the 6 and added in the other parts I've been wanting to see a long time.

Mobile contracts are really taking the mick these days going by this thread. Been buying a handsets only for over 10 years. Never going back to paying extortionate monthly bills and being tied in for 24 months. Cheap SIM only is the way forward. 200 mins. 300 3to3 mins. 4 gb Tethering Allowance. AYCE texts and most importantly AYCE data. £15 pcm. No way I am coming away from this plan!

Take it you didn't spot my post? Very reasonable and only tied in for 12 months so yearly upgrades.

Paying for the device upfront is definitely the most desirable option but the small business I'm part of certainly can't afford £2-3k upfront for a few devices.

But wow that 3 SIM you have seems like a mega deal.

which provider are you with out of interest - that sounds a good deal

Loopy sounds like your on the one plans and I know there slowly ditching people of that
Nope it's called 'all-you-can-eat Data, 200 minutes - 1month' - also unlimited texts and 2000 three to three minutes
They will let me keep this unless I choose to change .. On the older (only a year) contracts they don't even increase the prices.

This. People banging on about being underwhelmed. Think they've made a great phone even better. Fingers crossed for the RAM to be confirmed at 2GB as that will push the phone into beast mode. Apple might be perceived as lagging behind compared to Droid phones and tech specs, but still think their optimisation is up there with the best smartphones have to offer.

3. Same deal as Loopy65 I think. Not sure if it's available at that price anymore but as long as I keep paying and don't change the plan the deal is mine to keep as is. It's getting passed on to one of my sons in my "Will"

Reserved mine this morning to pick up on the evening of launch day.

iPhone 6s 64GB Silver

Will be trading in my iPhone 6 in the Apple Store to put towards the purchase. Can't wait until the 25th!

How much are they giving you for your iPhone 6?
