As I'm currently on Android, I had to pinch the Mrs 5c to use the app, but it was much easier than through the website (as usual).

Reserved 6s 64GB and 128GB models to collect from the Trafford Centre, Manchester. Although I'm trying to be 'sensible' and have reserved it for 5pm collection, rather than first thing with excitement, with the logic of 'go to work, earn the money for to pay for the damn thing first!'.

Im guessing he is with Three (3) on their Sim Only Plans (SIM All-you-can-eat Data, 200 Minutes - 12 Months.) Its currently £17 p/m, its the same as what I'm on and its great plus you get free roaming in over 18 countries. http://www.three.co.uk/Store/SIM/Plans_for_phones

If you're an existing customer, you may be able to get this cheaper. Login to your online account and look at the section for existing customers. I can get their 4gb data, 200 mins, unlimited text - 12 month for £13 p/month, which is cheaper than the price for new customers.

Anyone know why Apple give the first wave of orders a 'Delivers on the 25th' status but all subsequent orders get something like 'Dispatched 2-3 weeks' why not just give them a later delivery date? I do get the impression that the coveted launch day delivery is a result of collaboration between Apple and the couriers, not just a case of Apple handing them the package and letting them get on with it. As may be the case with later delivery maybe?

This is nothing more than personal speculation but:

I would say the "delivers 25/09" orders are ones already manufactured and sitting in warehouses, meaning Apple can essentially guarantee you'll get it on that day.

Subsequent orders in the "X-Y weeks" range won't have been manufactured yet so they need some leeway to account for potential hiccups.

Take it you didn't spot my post? Very reasonable and only tied in for 12 months so yearly upgrades.

Paying for the device upfront is definitely the most desirable option but the small business I'm part of certainly can't afford £2-3k upfront for a few devices.

But wow that 3 SIM you have seems like a mega deal.
Sorry m8 didn't see your post. Seems like an option given your circumstances. Yearly upgrade is a bonus. Especially at the rate tech changes these days.

I'm one of them rare people still on PAYG. I always but the phone outright and only pay £10 per month. In the long run, I probably save money too.

Think you have nailed it there. I have been lucky enough each year to get the first wave delivery date. And this is the stock held already in the UK. Think Syncreon hold it at Hinkley. Then it goes out for delivery by UK Mail/UPS/TNT Someone help me if I am wrong.

Just knowing your new iPhone is sitting in a warehouse all ready and waiting, just biding it's time until it's delivered, two whole weeks in a dark warehouse doing nothing lol.

Crazy isn't it some my work colleague paid £69 a Month on o2.
Just madness! I mean I used to pay on o2 £36 - £38 a month and that was with an upfront cost of £400 24 month and now I own my phone free to sell it and I'm on a £26 a month 30 day rolling with same data allowances etc!

Just think of them being like fine wine, they need to be left to mature first lol.

On the tariff note, I get 30% off EE contracts so I've paid £219 (will trade in my 5s when I collect it to recoup to money), for the 128GB 6s Plus and after the discount £35pm for 20GB data and unlimited minutes and texts. Not as good as some of the unlimited data sim only deals but not too shoddy for me as I can't afford to buy the phone out right.

I got a Vodafone upgrade too. £45pm for 6GB Data, Unlimited texts and unlimited minutes. I have the exact same data plan at the moment and I pay £47 for it so not too bad! I did have to pay an upfront cost of £159 though, but overall I'm fairly happy with it.

Rather annoying that the 12 months of Netflix contracts are £55+, cheaper to just pay for Netflix separately

Quite similar to mine but mines only 3GB of data. I tend to stay away from Vodafone though since I find their tariffs expensive and o2 offered me a good deal on a 64 plus. Woo

Is someone else facing this issue....so I ordered on App store app within the first 10 minutes and got a confirmation email from Apple for the in-store pick up at 8 AM on the 25th. But strangely the email didn't have anything like an order number. When I was trying to check under 'Your Orders' on the website and the app, it was giving me an error that stated something like it wasn't able to retrieve the order history. That was until today evening. Now, it says, 'There are no orders associated with this account that were placed in the past 90 days'. Normally I wouldn't be worried. But the email doesn't have an order number against which I could track. Should I be worried?

Best to call Apple and ask. Has your payment gone out of your bank?

In-store pickup won't be under Your Orders. It might show up under appointments (mine isn't at the moment). There is no order number for reservations either. You will need to prove your identity at your appointment. All they have is a list of names + iPhones reserved against them.

Yeah, gonna do that. Guess I can't call them up until tomorrow though?

And no, I don't see any related debit transaction on my bank account. But I thought that doesn't happen until dispatch (for direct delivery) or when you actually turn up at the Retail store for in-store pickup. Right?

Pardon my ignorance..first-timer doing a direct order with Apple on launch date. Have always bought my previous iPhones with a reseller in my country (except iPhone 4 which I bought direct from Appel store in Covent Garden)
