Another reason why I prefer to stay with EE. Visual voicemail is pretty handy when it comes to checking and managing voicemail.

I do miss EE for Visual Voicemail; I wish Vodafone would consider enabling the feature.

I'm currently running iOS 9.1 PB on my 6+ and whilst it's not wholly error free it's a vast improvement on iOS 8.4.1.

I got offered the same deal as you, 20.99 but then reduced by 4 pounds to 16.99. Mine however included free unltd calls to 0800 numbers which I need as I sometimes do freelance and need to call 0800 numbers frequently. I accepted the deal as I couldn't be bothered with going to retention etc

All in all they couldn't beat my previous contract which was 5gb data, 2k minutes and unltd texts and unltd 0800 calls for 10 pounds a month. Yes, 10 pounds a month for the first 6 months, then 20 pounds a month, which works out at 15 quid a month which is not a good deal really.

I have agreed to a new 12 months sim only deal for 20.99 and 10GB of data, plus all other benefits with EE. Pretty happy with that. Last year was better though since the first 6 months were half price for the same deal, though only 9GB.

Btw: hate it when people say that one network is better than the other. There are so many factors for each individual... If someone prefers for a certain network that's fine with me, but don't judge others...

EE is shocking for roaming allowances in the EU. I recently got back from Italy and they wanted 25 pounds for 500mb of data for 7 days! Absolute rip off, o2 are best for data abroad.

Each to their own, I think 500mb of data a day with calls and text messages included is a good deal. Or £3 a day for EE Extra customers.

Unfortunately there are more factors to consider then that. The primary one is what signal strength you get in the places you use it most like home and work. I use to be on O2 but got poor signal both at home and work as well as many other places. With EE I get a much stronger signal. Plus EE are the only ones offering wi-fi calling which can come in handy.

True. For my needs 50mb roaming is not enough in any stretch.

In terms of upgrading.

I have £380 left on my O2 refresh. What I think I might do is pay that balance off and then pay a higher initial price for the phone to reduce overall monthly payments.

At the moment O2 are doing 20gb a month with £9.99 upfront cost for the 64gb 6s phone and then £59 a month. 59 a month is far too much for me. I'm thinking of paying say £209.99 which would reduce the monthy cost to £33. Just means paying £590 for everything however it's still cheaper than buying the phone outright, PLUS I can sell my 6 to offset some of the cost.

Anyone think this is a good idea?! I need input here!

3 are the best abroad*! I used a silly amount of data in Spain. Yes it was only 3G, but the speed was never an issue.

*If you don't need to tether...which is a bit of a bitch actually. But everyone here pre-ordered iPhone 6s + models right? Who needs a computer anymore...

o2 upgrades. When you check your order, any reason why it states the value of the phone? If you're on a tariff it shouldn't matter surely? Or is it the case of just stating 'that's the cost of the phone' and you'll paying X amount to pay it off. Never seen that before on an o2 order.

I know I keep repeating mobiles.co.uk and sorry if it comes across as me advertising, but for the exact same package it's £115 upfront and £49 pm, 10GB is same upfront but £44 pm, 5GB is same upfront but £39 pm. Hope this helps :)

p.s: used £15 off code.

EDIT: This was for a Space Grey 64GB 6S

EDIT: Just realised that you said £33 pm, thats good.. hahaha

i have upgraded to a 6s+ 64gb with voda. £309 upfront, and £45 for 12 months after friends and family discount.

Hope to get the phone on release day as i ordered first thing on pre-order day!

It is not PER DAY. The deal for 500 MB of data is for 25 pounds and for SEVEN DAYS only. If you think this is an acceptable price to pay then that's fair enough. In comparison with EE or Three who offer free roaming to 20 countries if you're on contract then they're lagging behind really bad.

My maths is way off (rather the person on O2 chat was wrong). If I paid 209 upfront it would actually only reduce the bill to 50 a month haha

That's a really good deal you got there, they offered me something similar at first but I hardly exceed 2GB of monthly internet usage so was a bit pointless for me to go for that. Managed to knock 3 quid off my monthly statement for the next 12 months and that is an extra Boots meal deal ;)

What are my chances of picking up an iPhone 6s+ 64gb on launch day from the Birmingham Bullring store? Im planning to get there for around 8am when they open.

Don't get paid until 25th September therefore could not pre-order.

Agree here. Used my all you can eat data in New York earlier this year over a long weekend. Yes it was 3G but enough to use google maps and social media. At the end of the great I had a text from three when I got back saying that by using them I'd saved close to £700 in data roaming charges!

Ohhhh, haha! In that case I would have a look around the website in my previous post. £209 upfront, and £50 pm is going to work out slightly expensive!

Wish I could do the same but I'll miss out on my yearly upgrades :(
