Thanks.... My theory is the problems are tied to phones only purchased as SIM free. What this means is phones on a contract tied to the Three network will have been updated with all of the networks radios. However, unlocked phones will not be running the complete scripts that locked phones require.

Here's a question:- Those of you with the problem, where exactly did you get your phone from. Was it directly from Three which is locked to the Three network, or did you purchase it unlocked running on a SIM only plan?
Direct from Apple too.

Has anyone tried taking their phone into three and doing a sim swap?

I've had this problem for the past ten days on my iPhone 7 (not a Plus). Three were fairly useless when I phoned yesterday (the lady I spoke to suggested that if I could access the internet via 3G there wasn't really a problem). This morning I phoned Apple and was told to reset the network settings. I've done so and so far the 4G seems to be working okay.

It'll be fine for 24 hour or so then will come back to the problem.

Three phones are unlocked. Just like they came from Apple.

Ive tried 5 different iPhone 7/+ and all have the same issue. All phone from Three have the same radios and carrier software as phones bought from Apple Direct.

Doesn't suggest it's a phone issue then. It's probably a network or a software issue

I've tried two sevens, bought on same day in same store. Tried two different sims, one phone has the issue with both sims and the other works perfectly with both.

Has anyone tried taking the sim card in and out?

I did this yesterday and maintaining 4G even today. Worth giving it a go?

Just tried the reset network settings, manually selecting network, rebooting and hard reset and finally pulling the sim out still no switching to 4G grrrr
[doublepost=1474959027][/doublepost]Hmmm did the sim thing again and NOW I'm on 4G weird!!

When I did that, it lasted a couple days, then ended up back with the problem.

My new iPhone 7 was waiting for me when I arrived home from a trip on Sunday.
Set it up as a new phone and was OK for me all Sunday evening and all day yesterday, this morning no 4G until I reset network settings. Judging by all the responses on the thread this success is going to be a temporary situation.

At least three are acknowledging the problem now!
[doublepost=1474972136][/doublepost]Although you will notice I am finding toggling the airplane mode repeatedly solves it for me temporarily!

- airplane mode on and off
- turn 4G off and on
- reset network settings
- take SIM out and put it back in.

Not all at once. Just try one until it connects, will last anything from an hour up to a day and a half.

Three told me they were, on the phone last night and as per the above post, they confirmed on their twitter. More than likely the person you spoke to is trying to fob you off.

so no problem with the phone, it's network ios issue then ? no need to exchange it

Just got off the phone with 3...second time today....the first person told me there were no reported problems.
I got put through to a different department the second time I called and the lady confirmed there was an issue with 3 and the iPhone 7 and 7+ and that they are working with Apple to try and resolve it.....so there's definitely an issue!!

Was the other department you got put through to the network team? As they're calling me back later.
