Apple have presumably got very good at this. I remember during the 4s era you had to wait weeks.

Sorry I missed this post. Yes definitely just walk in. Years back I had a problem with my iPhone X and just walked straight in and 2 hours later got a brand new replacement. Apple will sort you out mate. No appointment necessary believe me.

Yes I had this on a 17 and a pro max today. I changed to hotspot off my old phone rather than home WiFi and it worked, no idea why

Thanks for the suggestion but I eventually had to change my password in order to get in. Appreciated though. And thanks to others who suggested solutions as well. Stuck on "Time remaining: estimating" on my attempt to restore from iCloud now!

My DPD delivery that never had the usual hours slot but said it had been requested for 15:32 today now says between then and 22:00 and I’ve had a text now too.

Reset the new phone and try again, my first attempt failed and did that and worked.

Also servers are still being hammered still.

I oped to do phone to phone transfer than iCloud.

My DPD delivery arrived about 20 minutes after the driver had loaded it onto his van (gone 6pm) according to the limited tracking. Seems like they’ve done a second round of shifts or they’ve sent drivers back out for the evening till 10pm they said. Three guys got out the van to help with the speed of the delivery!

If its the icloud verification I had to disconnect WiFi and use hotspot through old phone. Only way it would work.
