I was tempted by the AWU 3 but already having an AWU 2 I don't think it's worth it for that bit extra battery life. My Ultra 2 still has 100% capacity and given the new hypertension feature is also coming to the Ultra2 I think i'll stick and hold another year.

Is the new face exclusive to the ultra 3 do you know?
The reason behind my purchase for the AWU3, I am finally retiring my AW4 after years of service, it has done me well until lately is has been showing its age and battery no long lasting me half a day.

As to your question, from what I saw in keynote, I think there is a new watch face for it.

It’s stunning to me.

I’d have liked a glass back that was more grey though, like the Natural Titanium glass.

Or even better, black back glass with silver sides, iPhone 4 style - instant buy for me that would have been.

The fact it has, without the MagSafe battery, equal battery to iPhone 16 Pro, and with the MagSafe battery exceeds the 17 Pro Max is cool - to me at least.

I always loved space grey XS glass back. Looked stunning.

Do you mean 5S?

Edit: I see what you mean. The XS glass back, a sort of cloudy dark grey. Indeed it was stunning.

I don’t know why Apple have never done a “black/dark glass with silver sides” design since iPhone 4.

It matches their classic aesthetic seen on the laptops with the black keyboards/bezels contrasting the silver body, and is in my view quintessentially Apple.

They’ve always forced you to sacrifice either silver edges or black back - never allowed us both since the iPhone 4.

Interesting that the Deep Blue 17 Pro is winning the poll.

I remember loving the Pacific Blue colour they did years ago (forget which Pro - 13? Edit: Close, it was iPhone 12) but I did grow tired of it within the year.

I’m just such a sucker for the purist black and silver Apple aesthetic.

Question if anyone could help.

Usually, I pay off the phone upfront. I opted for the 24 months 0% with barclays this time, however, Is the better option to use the Apple upgrade programme? As I will get a new phone every year. Are there any pros or cons with either of these options?

Thanks

I'm so stuck this year... not a fan of the look of the 17 pro.... Like the Air but the specifications are killing me... I'm totally lost this year and I don't know what to get. Currently using iPhone 16 pro.
Same. Don’t like the design of the pro, love the look of the air but shame about the camera

You pay little bit more in IUP compared to BPF as pcm payments higher because of shorter length of contract. Other wise they same.

You can sell the BPF device and pay off your loan and start again.

You do? So the 0% for the IUP isn't strictly correct?

How do you pre-pre-order as a new customer to iUP? I only get offered pay in full or Barclays. If I preorder as pay in full, can I 'convert' on the day in store?

For the 24 months 0% finance and applecare+, if i sold my phone after 12 months and paid off the loan in full, what would happen to the remainder (1 year) of the applecare+? Would it just be lost?

I’m happy with my 16 Pro Max too,it’s only 10 months old! But I keep thinking, if I don’t upgrade now and wait another year, it’ll just depreciate further and I’ll still have to pay at least £1200 on the next one. So why not take Apple’s £600 trade-in offer and enjoy the upgrade now? I’m especially interested in the new camera feature where you don’t have to rotate into landscape (I hate doing and remembering that awkward move), and the extra zoom is really nice too.
But I really wish Apple offered more generous trade-in deals, like Samsung.
Because you lose £600 within a year? I think that is clear.

Anyone know what the difference between the ESR amourite and regular screen protectors are? I’ve always used the regular

Why do people buy these phones and put case/protector on it? especially with AC+? A case cost about £50-60 and SP is about £20-30. That is near the price of the AC for the year, plus you lose all what you actually paid for, being thin and made of nice materials.

Because superficial damage isn't covered.

I'm sure I remember in previous years threads, there was a way to 'reserve' an iphone instore for the IUP? I have looked and can't see any way to do that, am I trippin? lol

You can request a refund if you decide to get rid of the phone. You can also change the AppleCare+ to the new owner.

I have been on the IUP but dropped out. I went for the 0% finance deal and you can still trade in your phone and get a new one at any time. It's just not for certain as in the IUP. To be honest though, I never had an issue getting an iPhone on release day, which was the primary benefit.
You also get to choose if you want to use AppleCare on the Finance deal. Could be worthwhile if you have insurance somewhere else. In my case, I am actually also using my 16 Pro as trade in and drops my monthly fee to 35 quid for the 17 Pro Max.
