Iphone upgrade programme is effectively a new personal loan agreement every year. If you’re happy with the marker on the credit file then it’s a good way to lease the phone and always ensure an upgrade on day one. You are forced to take out AppleCare with it and that’s factored in the cost. Not to be confused with the Barclays 24month interest free financing which doesn’t include a yearly upgrade.
You can choose to remove AppleCare from the IUP, it’s not forced, just added by default.

I have just pre ordered a 17 pro max in silver. I am currently using a s25 ultra having come from a 16 pro max before that.

One thing that is pushing me towards going back to iphone is the camera. There are many things I love about about the s25 ultra but I am struggling with the camera. It can and does take excellent pictures but I find it is hit and miss. Sometimes they come out blurry, other times perfect. I found that with the iphone they were always near perfect epically when shooting moving objects which the s25 ultra seems to find difficult.
It's the motion blur from taking pictures of moving objects that kills it

I have my 15PM to trade in using the 2yr finance. I was going to do the pre-auth for another 2 year finance but Apple are asking me to authorise the trade in amount from my bank. Do they hold/take the money right away even though I am financing and it reduces the monthly payments?

I'd rather not have more money coming out of my account with all the other stuff I have going on.

The UAE Pro models are now eSIM only and with the UK to UAE exchange rate being good for tourists most products work out cheaper. An option for anyone heading to UAE on holiday. The UAE now also allows instore pickups too.
Zero chance of getting stock there.

It only comes out if you don't send in your old device. I had the same earlier, I confirmed it with my bank for £0.00 so it's just a pre-auth in case they need to charge you for not trading in the phone.

Tried it again there, my bank is asking me to approve a transaction in the app with the full trade in value. Also what happens if you go ahead get the pre auth, but don't preorder or send trade in away?

I've no idea then. As I say, I was asked to approve it in my app also. Well if you don't end up pre/ordering the agreement will be cancelled.

Not quite true, it’s a condition of the IUP. Cancelling AppleCare will void your eligibility to upgrade your phone through the program, effectively turning the loan into a standard installment payment plan.

I’m going to be upgrading my current cellular watch and 15 Pro Max to the new Ultra and 17
Pro Max. Buying from Apple and on the EE network. My wife is doing the same and she’s with O2.

Could someone who has been through the process advise on how to handle the swapping of the watch plan to the new watch for EE and O2? Hopefully it isn’t necessary to contact customer service!

Both phones have physical SIMs, so no problem there.

Thanks!

You might have to give customer services EID or SEID number of new watch so they can activate the e sims.

I’ve religiously gone for screen protectors on every iPhone I’ve had. Always applied before I even turn it on, but this year I’m considering going without for the first time.

….might well wuss out once it comes to it though 😅

I am going barefoot front on this one!!
You guys are too brave to go all naked on your phones. I can never do that, even while having AC+. I still have a case and screen protector applied.

My mentality is I pay this much for a phone I want to enjoy it, I do however use a screen protector more for the scratches than breakage of the glass I also own a case for times where I'm somewhere where a little extra protection is needed like if I'm working in the scene shop where I'm more likely to hit my pocket with something hard and heavy but most the time teaching / being a student doesn't really have any risks
