In the red carpet video of Tim Cook at the Emmys where he whips out his 17 Pro, the orange model looked more a fairly light-to-mid salmon to me.

Like with a lot of the colours of iPhones over the years they change a lot under different lighting.

There was a close up and I think the orange looks more of a copper pipe colour

I'm most excited for the swathe of updates supporting Liquid Glass on iOS/Mac. Quite a few slipped through already but most will be today.

I like to have my current phone updated and ready so that when the new one arrives and it will have the newer version already on it, my backup will be ready to go with all the settings already good to go and hopefully less issues.

My wife purcahsed the 17 Pro 256GB in silver which I thought was the best colour of the three. She very nearly got a bargain as Currys in the UK had the wrong prices for all iPhones and bizarrely had the Pro for £799. She bought it and had it confirmed, only for the mistake to be realised and they cancelled her order. She ended up getting it from John Lewis with 6% cashback as there were no deals for Apple. My upgrade is next year and I'll see then if I need to.

I'm already on the RC build as I was on the beta for my iPhone, Apple Watches, Apple TV and my MacBook. I just need to update my home pods as they can't join the beta as they are both OG HomePods.

So after going back and forth between orange and blue I ordered Silver 😂

I just know ill get sick of blue or orange after a few months and I plan on keeping until iPhone 20 (2027) this time.

I did get caught up in the Air hype but I can't be without macro shots, stereo speakers and the fat battery of a Pro.

Of course I'll change my mind again when I see it in person on Friday. 😅

It never has to me in the past.

Having said that, I'm very tempted to set up my phone from scratch this time. It's been years and years since I've done it, and there are probably apps and setup on there that I haven't thought through (and what music is downloaded etc.), so it will be something new/nice to almost see it as a fresh start

It can, Apple recommend both devices are fully updated before transfer.
