I called earlier, took me a few attempts to be put in the queue. Managed to order a White 32GB Wi-fi. I was lucky though as she told me the system was down when I first got though but then it came back to life just at that moment and she processed the order.

I called earlier, took me a few attempts to be put in the queue. Managed to order a White 32GB Wi-fi. I was lucky though as she told me the system was down when I first got though but then it came back to life just at that moment and she processed the order.
Didn't it happen with a previous device when the demand was so high in the US the UK and others stock got pilfered to fulfil the demand in the US and our dates got pushed right back?
Think i will give it too midnight poss a bit later if signs of movement start to show!
It happened with the iPad 1, however it was planned all along that it would come out in the UK 30 days after the US. It then kept getting pushed back from the 30 days due to the demand in the US.
I thought so! i think we might have the same scenario again especially whilst it has got the retina display. I think that is going to be the game changer for a lot of people.
I'll give it until midnight... If I don't get to pre-order one for the 16th I'll be pretty gutted since I've been trying ever since the end of (and a little before) the press event! 
its also pretty sick that the US store is now flying but the UK one has been dead since 5 minutes after it opened...! What's the point of sitting on countless billions in cash when your servers crash 5 minutes after a launch!

Do we know the pricing will be the same as the iPad 2 was? On the US store the 16GB 4G version is $130 more than the Wi-Fi version.
Was hoping to order one online to avoid queuing up for several hours on the 16th, but the latter option now seems like my only choice! Also having trouble updating to 5.1 on both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, anyone else having the same problem?

. There's a post on the very first page of the thread with the prices .Pricing seems same... UK prices are on the bottom of the tech specs / compare iPad screen which is still working. The prices look same as iPad 2.

I bet the Apple employee who hits "Publish" in iWeb for the Apple Store UK has gone home to bed! lol
