Ah - and is that why they've changed the warranty to Applecare+ and included accidental damage? As a way of selling a 2yr warranty?
Happy days for me. I wrote a script to automatically refresh the page and play a LOUD sound when the site changes. If it comes back up at 4:30am I will be awoken.

Haha good point. I might do just that for the next launch but this one will probably only work on my computer due to some other bits and pieces I had to mash together to make it work.

Yeah I noticed that. Don't understand why that would be back up before UK site? Surely they would be spammed even more than UK?
I hate to say it, but I reckon they're prioritising the US because there's more possible customers. Just a guess. I hope I'm wrong!
Have updated the IPad 2, iPod Touch and Apple TV - so something good came out of the fact that the store has been down since 7pm
Yes the US site seems fine now. I was able to get quite far in the order process. Obviously it doesn't do us any good. Hopefully the UK store will be the same when it eventually comes back on line.
Mine's just done. Got a bit worried as VoiceOver wasn't listed as an accessibility option for the new ATV on the specs page (it usually is) but other confirmed it was still available when updating the ATV2. Playing with it now.
It seems still a touch not finished, to me. As the ATV UI has always felt to me. But I'm navigating it in an unusual way (via VoiceOver). I get the impression this UI one of those things Apple will just keep fiddling with.
Yeah I tried calling twice but both times an automated message told me to ring back as they were too busy... I did try a third time but that was after 9 and they were closed. I wish I'd rang earlier cos I think people had more luck with telesales early on than with website..
That is the whole point of icloud computing. It allows you to cater for these situations.
I think you might find the whole, its just works Apple.... is kinda not working now. I cannot remember such a **** experience that I have had with another service recently to be honest.
They are not even attempting to serve the UK store, its had a holding page up since 1930. Sure I would give them some credit if they were even trying to take custmers. They are not! Alot of people up tonight having thier time wasted by Apple to be honest. Sorry but a really really really **** experience.
