I think that is the general idea. These are just stickers on boxes that have been scanned in to Apple's system. The actual tracking numbers get scanned when whoever picks them up.
 
I don't think anyone should worry about Syncreon - they've been doing this for years (formerly known as Walsh Western). They also ship/handle import for the likes of Dell and HP so I'm guessing, along with the iPads, there's quite a bit of kit in that warehouse in Hinckley. I bet the security guards have big b@lls!

What's annoying me though is that warehouse is 15 minutes drive from me. I have an iPad on pre-order. My iPad is in that warehouse. 15 minutes away. Grrr! :mad:
 
Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone who has used the Syncreon tracking system to look at their parcel has an estimated delivery date listed? On the Apple site I have the 16th, but on the Syncreon site it just says N/A.

Same. I wouldn't worry. I expect that is just because they haven't handed it to a carrier yet.

I have just an iPad in my order, no accessories, but mine is still coming from Syncreon. So I guess it's not just exclusive to those with more items.

Interesting. @geekanoids on Twitter, who lives in Kent (I believe) says his is coming from France!

I pre-ordered a 4s, the logistics were handled by Syncrenon, but the delivery was TNT. I really would not worry at all, my experiences suggests Syncrenon know what they are doing. They do this kind of thing day-in-day-out. Chill and put your feet up until the 16th. Then you can get excited with every van that comes up the street!
 
Curious about my order of March 7 release day , it's now gone back to saying it won't ship until 16th rather than be delivered on that day :confused:

My order is now saying shipped! Fingers crossed for Thursday/Friday delivery!
 
Mine also shipped. Ordered with smart cover and TNT is the carrier.

I am so gutted I got my shipped email today and my car breaks down just now, fingers crossed it is cheap so I don't have to cancel my order. :-(
 
I'm in Edinburgh. Just got my 16G WiFi+4G version shipping notification email on 4:37am. The parcel will be delivered by UPS.
 
Shipped at half 2 this morning with a smart cover and a dock, won't let me check shipping tracking so not sure who its being sent by. would imagine UPS though, that was who sent my iMac and 4S.
 
Got my shipment notification at about 2:30am, mines being delivered by Syncreon. Currently showing as being at Hinckley, I live in the Peak District so it should come fairly quickly once it's released!

My 4S was Syncreon but I think it was actually brought by UK Mail.
