For people who are tracking their iPad on the UKmail site trying putting your consignment number into the following page. The UKmail site says my iPad is still in the delivery office but this page tells me it is out for delivery!

If you're still looking try Pc World. Their stock checker is a bit screwed but if you keep trying then it should work.

7 stores near me have them in stock. I called two and both of them had 500+ in stock.

I have to say Three's deals are pretty good. Especially with the generous 15GB allowance per month. Couldn't believe the 16GB was only £159 upfront. So tempted to buy one for myself (I've order a WiFi only for my wife). But I'm disappointed that 4G won't work in the UK once it's past testing phase.

I was just hoping that with apple dropping the retail price of the iPad 2 by £70, it would bring the upfront cost down well under £99 but unfortunately not. Hopefully High Wycombe store will have some in stock by the time i make it down there at lunch...

Only issue is three signal, i have iPhone 4 on three, it's passable at the best of times...

Just took a visit to Comet store in Cheltenham. I enquired about stock and they said they had plenty.

However they are selling them at £50 above retail price. This is because you have to purchase their "essential pack" with each iPad.

I advised the manager that I didn't want the essentials pack and he said that he can't sell it to me then because it is a "Comet thing"

Has anyone else had this experience in a Comet store?

Bought mine from at Comet after pre ordering, I didn't have to buy an "essentials pack".

I wish they used UPS for mine, they usually arrive earlier in the day (must be a delivery route thing), UK mail usually end of the day :/

Well i think they did in Bath, Southgate store.

i was there about an hour ago, with roughly 10 people left ouside waiting. (by the time i left they had gone) and they still had a high level of iPads on the genius bar.

i think its mainly the iPad 1 owners getting upgrades so it wont be as big as the original iPad or iPad 2 launches.

Plenty of Apple TV's also which is why i went
