Apple have actually taken full payment for gift card from my debit card. No deductions shown on the invoice etc.
Cheers mate hopefully yeah this one will be perfect, also now noticed when the lid is closed and if you run your finger from the front left to the front right of the laptop there is bit of a lip on the right.

Actually you're correct, I've been charged too!
I'm sure I read somewhere that you'll be charged then, it will come off the final amount?!
My rmbp is out for delivery today with ups! Can't wait - ordered on the 2nd July - in the nicest way possible I hope to never write in this particular thread ever again!

Same scenic route as you, and was a replacement too. Much quicker getting a replacement than it is getting a new one. Well impressed
Mine is now in castle donnington for arrival tomorrow and yup it went to Germany as well so fingers crossed this one has zero dead pixels etc.
after few days of usage.
-Nicer than my 2010 13" MBP- in every way
-Lovely screen. running at 1920 res. Tried 2800 and 36xx res but waaaaay to small for my eyes...
-Fan noise is absolute minimum- cant even tell theirs any fans inside...but I haven't pushed it yet. Only watching video -web surfing.
-Zero dead pixels. (tested via naked eye scanning the whole screen).
-Yet to test screen bleeding and ghosting.
-No graphics glitches.
-very slight stuttering on long web pages. when scrolling really fast I get slight stutter. This is in Safari 6 on MT LION.
-Thunderbolt gigabit adapter works nicely - haven't tested throughout yet though.

8-24 hours has been the range on the other thread. If its shipped tomorrow I should get it Monday (going by 2-3 days delivery) which is the estimated delivery date and 2 weeks exactly.
It will be interesting to see if they're on the smae flight, where are you in the UK?

Have you managed to get this sorted? My NUS card runs out this month so I'm intending to get the RMBP with it but don't want to order it until this is sorted.
RE the fan, mine hasn't turned on yet either! But i did do a software updated after installing ML which installed a SMC update. While that installs it sets the fan to full as a precaution, and it was ALOT quieter than my other mbp
Listen out for it when you do the SMC update, because I don't think you'll hear the fan on full very often!
About stuttering in safari.. Chrome on ML is insanely fast! (reported in a few places actually)

Good luck mate! I'm using the Expeditors Int. website what others did you use to track the status/flights?
Just used expeditors and weirdly enough the second tracking number beginning with 8 showed up zero events but at least now it's out for delivery now.
