UK New MacBook Pro Thread.

I've had mine for a week and I'm in love with it, the only thing that has been annoying is that I've waited over a week for my ML code and it took 4 e-mails and call to support to get the code.

So far the after sales support has been lacking.
 
so i was wondering if you could help me. i made the mistake of ordering a 16gb version of the 2.6 Retina through PC world here in the UK. That was on the 19th and they have no way of telling me when I will receive my order on their system.

Great. Can't cancel because its a build to order and just have to wait.

my questions is have others that ordered on or around that date received their's yet? If not when is their estimated delivery?

And i'm slightly worried about how far down the chain PC World. They can't tell me anything - not even an estimate of when it should come - except between 5 - 36 days.

In all PC world are feckin useless and have no internal protocol for finding anything out about apple orders.
 
So far so good and even the lid now sits flush with the bottom of the laptop which is an added bonus, just restoring now so will try out a few tests and hopefully this one will be a keeper

What date did you place the Oder with PC World?
 
Well after my date being 30th Jul - 6th Aug it shipped today and promptly changed to a 13th Aug delivery date!!!!!! :mad::mad:

Opened a complaint with Apple, they emailed to say they will discuss a good will gesture when it arrives.:mad::mad:
 
Well it's that special day, payday, coinciding nicely with a reduction in delivery estimates for the new MBP. Order time!

EDIT: Dispatch estimates are 5-7, delivery is saying 17-21 aug! :( I could probably go to a Store, but I heard you don't get the 3 year edu discount there :/
 
Well I am much happier with this one and no dead/stuck pixels and the casing is perfect and weirdly enough the track pad seems much nicer to use specially when swiping left and right between full screen apps and there is no lag when going to the dashboard which was visible on the other one.

Maybe the placebo effect but happy nonetheless.

Good to hear. Who manufactured the screen on this one?

Just got an email from Apple stating they are dispatching it sooner than expected. Dispatched on 13th Aug... How long from dispatch does it take to deliver? It's showing 16-20 Aug which seems a little long...
 
I have just ordered my rMBP with my NUS card before it runs out this month. This will also be my first Mac. I'm psyched! Delivery estimate 17-21st though, boo.

A long time, it's coming from China, usually takes about 3-4 days to reach the UK from dispatch time, then an additional 3-4 days once in the UK to reach you. Mine is on tomorrows flight at 2pm JST(time in china). :D :D can't wait! Due for delivery on the 8th

I ordered my rMBP on 25/07/12 and still says 'processing items'. Estimated delivery is between 8th and 15th August. Can't wait; will be my first Apple computer.
