Guys - I've got a big smile on my face :)

Mine has just turned to "preparing for shipment"

I ordered mine on the 13th at 3pm BST with a 3-4 week 12th-18th July estimation.

Does anyone roughly know how long it will take for it to dispatch? :)

Fairly hacked off. I ordered mine about an hour before you, and mine's still "processing"

Grrrrrr.

Congrats though.

Thanks for letting me know. Hope you get yours by the end of the week.

Likewise ;)

Mine is on the same flight as yours matey :)

What's weird is that my 'Shipment status' went from saying:

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) Jul 4, 2012

to

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) Jun 27, 2012

...IF ONLY!

Sweet. The estimated delivery date is to the merger or courier :( (mine is the 30th)

So, mine is going to syncheon first then Picked up for delivery.

Apple says 3rd July for but I'm so hoping for the Monday! Can't complain though, it's better than the 12th-18th that was initially quoted.

Regent street store has most models with 8gb of ram. Anyone found a store with the mid version with 16gb of ram.

Unlikely that any store is going to be stocking that. They don't do custom configs.
They did have the ultimate spec version in stock. I just imagine that there would be higher demand for those versions just because they seem to be in the sweet spot in terms of price and performance.

There probably would be higher demand, but they've picked the three configurations they're going to stock in the store, and you're unlikely to find anything stocked outside of those.

With standard MBP's they'll do memory upgrades in store, but that's not possible with the rMBP for obvious reasons

You'll hopefully see some movement tommorow. I think the 16GB models probably have a few more days wait. Looks like there now getting the standard configs out first.

I'd agree, except the first bunch of people who got their dates moved forward were the exact same configuration as mine, but seemed to generally order theirs by the MORNING of 13th, whereas I ordered mine in the early afternoon.

Pretty much cursing myself for not pulling the trigger on 11th. :(

I suppose it's hard to tell the way apple's ordering system works. There are so many variables throughout the process and most cases seem individual.

Either way I hope yours gets shipped by Friday :) Good luck

What time did you check this yesterday? I'm just wondering how likely it is they still have stock today?

Has anyone found some sort of system in the shipments? i mean is there any specific time on the day they usually ship for UK/change your order to shipped instead of processing?

shipping order does seem luck of the draw, I'm in the UK and maxxed out the spec apart from SSD straight after the WWDC reveal.

mine arrived last week (and rather lovely it is too)

Picked up a Base Model Retina Macbook Pro from StormFront in Dundee, my first Mac - loving it so far, fastest computer I have ever owned!

Now I just need to figure out if I can use my Windows 7 Disc which I have already used on my Old Windows laptop? Anyone have any ideas?

Tangential question

As I'm still stuck at processing (2.3/16/256 o 14/6) I've nowt to add but to look on with a degree of envy. Hopefully things will improve soon.

Out of interest (for all you edu customers): if you leave uni or whatever, what happens to your included 3 year free warranty and/or your 3 year discounted HE Applecare? I would assume that it carries on, but if you then make a claim to Apple get funny about honouring it (as you'd by that point no longer be a student)...???

Just wondering...

If it's an OEM Windows 7 disc then it won't work and you'll have to buy another copy.

Does it take roughly 24 hours for the status to change from preparing to shipped?

What's everyone's rough time estimates?

Woke up this morning to Preparing for Shipment!

No its a Full Retail Disc! It has been installed on another laptop though.

Not sure how the licensing works for multiple installations of Windows 7 but I am sure it will be fine to install it into a VM or bootcamp.

Just watch out for the usual activation stuff.

I think the spec which you ordered is very popular and I will be re-ordering mine at some point when I get my 0% credit card through in the post.

Anyone know if the regent street store still has them? Might pop down tomorrow and take a look. Guess it could be too late then but not in london today!

I ordered on the 14th, and it's turned to "preparing for shipment"!

2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
512GB Flash Storage
No VGA Adapter

Apple Thunderbolt to Enet Adpt
KYBD/USER'S GUIDE-GBR
COUNTRY KIT-GBR

+ Apple TV

Any guesses as to how long from here? My expected date is 13-19 July. Might I be in for a nice surprise?

This isn't gospel, but in the past, I've been in the 'preparing for shipment' mode from anywhere between 3 and 5 days. Then, factor in another 5 days for shipment if you went 'standard'. So, I reckon you're looking at about 10 business days at the longest (which actually might fall within your given timeframe after all!). However, others might have had different experiences and can provide those as well. Enjoy it!
