24 hours since it arrived and still says "not cleared for import"
same here... only 18hours for me, but still...
Just had a look at my status again and it seems that my shipment was loaded on to earlier truck than expediators tracking expected. Just wanted to know if anyone knew what the next stage was now that it's arrived at the final destination - LHR - How long does it take to see some movement and is it soley now customs related before being released for Merging?
Here's my tracking all the way to the Apple merger centre - in case you want to take a guess from this. Looks like a final delivery to me on Tuesday, exactly as per the Apple shipment notification which I received last Tuesday.

Stock of rMBP at Amazon & John Lewis
Seems that Apple are giving stock to these two third party resellers for a change, John Lewis and Amazon have the base model in stock.

Whats shocking is how ill prepared Apple seem to be, in a little over a week it will be a whole month since the rMBP "started shipping". I understand that the initial demand may have caught them off guard, but looking at estimated ship by dates, it seems like they haven't ramped up production. Just glad mine is winging it's way to me as we speak.
And tomorrow I take delivery of a car it took 8 weeks to build. Do I care or think it should be sooner? No as I get exactly what I wanted and I'm prepared to wait for that rather than accept a compromise. Our culture has got far too instant!

Judging by these forums, a lot of people are customising their rMBP, which will obviously increase Apple lead times. 16GB RAM seems to be a VERY popular choice, although tbh it was a decision many were forced into for futureproofing with it being non user upgradable. I know I will be looking to keep this machine going for at least 3-4 years as my main PC.
Sure in a couple of years games may not run well on it, but by then next gen consoles will be out and Activi$ion will have accomplished their goal of reducing modern day games to toddler tripe.

I wouldn't be surprised if production is at current max capacity. most likely limited by panel production volumes.
Mine has been stuck at Heathrow since yesterday at 5pm. Over 24 hours awaiting for import clearance
My tracking details have been on At Final Destination (LHR) for 24 hours. No mention of customs or anything. Is this normal?

Same here. I guess customs at LHR don't work on Sundays.
I'm going on holiday Wed AM, so this is killing me. I'm hoping Monday at Apple so they can add in my accessories, and then out for delivery on Tuesday? I think all likelihood, it'll arrive Wed/Thurs
Anyway, something to look forward to when I get back. Like you, I'm going from a C2Duo from 2009 - should be a nice speed boost..

I think there's a small chance it will clear customs and make its way to the merger centre during the course of tomorrow, so you have it on Tuesday. However, I reckon it is more likely to be Wednesday.
I'm going on holiday on Friday morning - assuming mine comes on Tuesday as hoped, I'll consider myself quite lucky with the timing.
Back in the game now re-ordered my rMBP 2.3, 16, 256 with a delivery time of between the 31st of July to the 6th of August.
Finally a tracking number from UPS.
Looks like its going to be tomorrow as it was only created this morning.
May give them a ring as I'm travelling near the depot
If you're thinking of collecting it I think UPS are under very strict instructions not to allow this.
Of course you can collect. It's being shipped UPS Standard which allows the element of pick-up.
