iPod touch UK order status thread

Ok, well I've just got off the phone to Argos (UK), and after them confirming delivery of my Touch a few days ago as the 2nd Oct (a woman actually said "yes, that will be delivered on the 2nd") The customer service woman told me today that they are on preorder as they are 'not released yet' and will be delivered in the next 10 days. I for one didn't see the word Preorder anywhere, and I have a confirmation email, confirming the delivery date as the 2nd. I'll definitely be cancelling my order, and kicking up a fuss. :mad:

I feel sorry firstly for the people who dont have theirs yet as I thought I wouldnt today either, but be patient you will get it!

...Neway I have mine now :D Funny story...ummm Had like an interview open evening for a job at 6, TNT arrived at my door at 5.30...jsut as I was about to go. argh! Anyway, back home now and opening it RIGHT now.

(people who have got theirs, what was your estimate date and actual date?)

It's a week 38, can't see any problems with the screen so far, no dead pixels either.

mine is also 11th and am getting pissed at the fact they think its gonna take 9 days from holland, TNT are useless and won't tell me if itll ship earlier or they are just gonna hold it in their ****pile untill the 11th moronic bastards, i ordered on the day, i shunt have got it ****in personalised then id have it i reckon its annoyingly insane, alot of you managed to get sense out of tnt how so? they just speak *** to me !!!!
 
At least its in Holland, mine shipped the same date as yours and is "delayed". Estimated delivery is still october 2nd. This is just ridiculous, at least update the estimates when its pretty obvious its not gonna make it by then...
 
well, mine supposedly shipped on the 29th, and yet i have absolutely no tracking details whatsoever:mad:

very dissapointed with apple on this one...

Mine also says the same. Will prob be here tomorrow as people who had there's today. their status was that yesterday!!

HOPEFULLY!!! Do you live in the Midlands?

It should come tomorrow on the THIRD, grr. Oh well... umm, yeahg, it should ship overnight to the UK and then there was a guy from Worcester who got his the next day after it said about the Holland place.

Can't wait!!!

Just wanna ask this to the people who have got theirs today. My touch is amazing yeah but when I put the earplugs in and listen there is a hiss...a quiet one but its there. Now im wondering if thats the poor earbuds or not, cos when music on its harder to hear this obviously but I can still hear background hiss when no music on.
Anyone else got this or is it that problem people have talked about. Its very quiet let me remind you tho!

I'm tracking it on the apple site (when i press track this shipment on apple, and then look for carrier info. it says on the left at the bottom "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly")

Am i missing something obvious? :confused:
