Not sure about best but the quickest way would probably be to get the next train down to London. The Regent Street store had some in stock this afternoon.

I'm not sure how the online orders are progressing right now though. Is everyone still blocked by the Chinese national holiday?
 
i went to meadowhall too, they told me to come back in every morning, first come first served for the daily deliveries. Thats for my second one which is a present, my first which was shipped from china on 29th should get here today, fingers crossed
 
bloody hell its here, and wow, it look mighty fine, will have a play when i get home now, just about to use my video ipod for the last time, last game of ZUMA here i come

Thanks - I'll pop in as early as possible on Saturday, and if I miss out - then I'll watch out for Apple customers waving their prized PMP about, tackle them to the ground, shaft them with their pants still on and run off with their Touch - screaming and giggling like a little girl.

Damn it, looks like I'm going to miss out again. Really annoyed now. Was supposed to be here yesterday.

Grrrrr, iv been ringing up all day, i ring up at 5:05pm and they change their story twice in the same call.

First they said its not actually got to rotherham depo yet, maybe this evening.

Then they said it got their this afternoon and the driver's delivering some but not mine, if they had told me that earlier i would have said leave it at the depo ill come get it. But he wont get back to the depo til late tonight when im not allowed to collect.

So now the plan is to collect it at 9am tomorrow, which means I came home from Uni a day early for absolutely nothing. :mad:

I won't rub it in for the sake of all those still waiting.... :mad:

I had a brief chat with the TNT guy. He said they have been absolutely snowed under with iPod deliveries. He even said his employers were offering a £10 per delivery incentive for overtime!
 
My girlfriend has it at home. Think I may have had the same delivery guy as DickieDavis jugding by the tracking...

Only a couple more hours before I get my own hands on it.

aaaaaaaaaand I don't have it. It's been just an hour away... for 8 hours.

Argos still clueless as to when they will get them to post.. anytime up to the 12th October.. basically you'll get it when you get it. any store orders having more luck than argos?
 
mine turned up earlier today, rode home from college just to unpack it:) totally worth the wait. the whole thing is perfect!

couldnt be happier!
 
Got mine yesterday and had a real go on everything today and safari works like a treat, very fast.
youtube was a bit slow at first but now its quicker but still a bit slow.
music store is amazing, not slow at all.
overall its a great device 10/10
hope you guys get it soon.

Ordered mine of play.com on the 26/9 they've guaranteed me delivery by sat or my money back + a free itunes gift card:D
 
Hi, just joined the forum there :). I thought i was the only one checking my touch's journey all the time!! Was just wondering if anyone could give me a rough estimate of how long i have to wait now thanks :cool:

I think I must be the last one from that first apple.com UK batch that still doesn't have theirs! Today should be the day, unless they decide to post it to another wrong country again!

Well TNT had my ipod since Saturday and apple told them to deliver it on the 11th October. Since i moved house yesterday, i called TNT to get them to change the shipping address as i was moving house the day after and instead of holding out, they sent it next day because it was too difficult to change the address. Instead of waiting, call the company and blag it so that it is shipped next day
 
How easy is it for you guys to have stuff sent to your place of work??

I always get small stuff sent here so I don't have to wait in at home and it's easy. Stuff gets sent here, they tell me and either bring it to my desk or I go down and collect it from the courier desk. I guess it is a pretty sweet setup here for that though. They make it easy for things like that so you stay at work longer :(
