I believe what's going on here is a few people unable to track their package on TNT UK website because they're using the default TNT National tab. Thus someone earlier in this thread jumped to the conclusion that if your tracking number isn't working maybe it's because it's already in the UK.
Ummm I'm in the same boat as others, all of my tracking details have gone, but the references are still showing but grayed out (used to be a hyperlink)
US store matches the UK store now, but I cannot see anything at all on TNT's site or UPS's site for the reference numbers.
Apple said to me that I WILL get it for the 28th or before, TNT say that the shipments are not even on their systems... ummmm.... parcel limbo???
Same for me im in the UK but tracking has gone on UK and US stores and nothing works on TNT site, any ideas????
He didn't say ALL 3G iPads. I believe that some 3G had been stockpiled after the pre-order and are already in the UK. Later orders are being shipped in. Hence the difference in delivery details amongst us. Apple and a few other people have confirmed this. However if you categorically know otherwise as you claim, then I would be very interested in your source so I can go bck to Apple and call them liars.

Mine's also disappeared. Was with TNT but haven't been able to find my consignment number on their systems since it began displaying on the Apple Store...

Not sure what's happening with my order (iPad 32GB WIFI + Apple Case) pre-orderd on May 10 at 01:04 AM
All I can confirm so far is that it was shipped on May 22nd
My Apple order status page has changed today so there is no longer a link to "track this shipment". The U.S. Apple order page has shipped by TNT UK Ltd where as the U.K. doesn't specify. The estimated delivers or delivers dates are not specified any more.
The reference number (I'm assuming consignment no) when entered on the UK TNT website (Track - International) results in the status: Delivered to someone in Athens, Greece on Feb 11 2010
When using the reference for Track - National I get "not found" so I am assuming the tracking has not been set up for my order yet.
I called TNT and gave them both my consignment number (what I used above on the TNT website) and Apple reference number (not the Apple order number but the Delivery reference number stated in the shipping confirmation email) and neither of them came up on their system! Not even the Greece one lol
The TNT said it had probably been shipped from China (since it was shipped on Saturday) and it may take a little while for the tracking information to be updated (latest by Wednesday she said).
I then called Apple and they said they wait until the end of today or even tomorrow for the tracking information to be corrected. However the lady said the order may already be in the UK and it could be sent out for delivery as early as tomorrow! So who knows??? lol

Really confusing as this morning I could see the UK store had the tracking details, the hyperlinks were there. Now the UK shows different tracking number (was shown on US store this morning) grayed out, no hyperlink.
The US store has ref numbers, grayed out, no hyperlinks.
Called TNT after trying the UK and the international track and trace. TNT said they have no records, seemingly they have a seperate system they can check for apple shipments
Apple just say, its on its way from international warehouses and will be with me on 28th or before.
Still doesnt stop me panicing seen as on Friday I have a wedding at 1pm!!!
UPS tracking - not
I've now received a 'proper' UPS tracking number. Doesn't work of course but lets not be too fussy.
I've just cancelled my opticians appointment tomorrow. Getting too hopeful I guess!!

ha you are so right, last few days have been looking up Ipad wallpapers, checking forums, making lists of apps im going to get, spending hours browsing accessories and doing zero work.... I dont even have the ipad yet!
I think you will find it's already in the UK and the tracking number doesn't work yet because TNT haven't got it out for delivery. I rang Apple earlier as I am in exactly the same position. They confirmed its in the UK already. Don't worry its a few days from Friday.
The greek site that shows up (Athens) is van old tracking number. Quite a few of us got that too.
Yeah I am not fussed since it "should" arrive on Friday...just amused by some of the stories on this thread and not having a clue where our orders are lol Or some lucky guy/gal in Athens is getting a job lot of iPads lol
My guess on these UK ones are that Apple get a job lot of consignment numbers from TNT as well as other carriers. It's only when that give them the package and they enter it as active on their system just before going out that we see it .

I tried my UPS tracking numbers on the UPS site...in case it was different to the iphone delivery app*, and the numbers work fine on there too. In fact, I only have to put one number in, and it shows me the other number too as being in the same shipment.
*One of my delivery apps has been know to be more upto date in the past......I'd like to know where they get their feeds
Well still think I have upset apple as no money taken or email sent, have this though from my invoice

My courier tracking number has also changed from a 10 digit number to a 9 digit number.
TNT UK shows it has already been delivered - to York, not London - and TNT International shows it has also been delivered - to Athens, lol.
And both sites show they were delivered back in March. So where's my iPad Steve?

Several of us got the same info mate it must be the old consignment numbers hence the current update.
Yeah I think you're right. Just curious why I have the "shipped on May 22nd" status but no record of it leaving the source address. If it is already in the UK I wouldn't expect to see the "shipped" status until it's out for delivery to my delivery address?
