I noticed quite a few have received invoices from Apple and had the amount taken from their bank accounts. I received an invoice this morning but nothing has been taken. It's dated the 22nd and has my debit card details but according to the bank nothing has gone out. Anyone else getting this as well?

I ordered my iPad at 12:07 (their time, 1:07 ours) on the pre-order launch day. Since then I've been ridiculously excited. This thread, and the realisation that i'm not alone in my "child before christmas" level of anticipation, is only hyping things up even more for me !
Quite frankly i've spent the past 24 hours feeling a bit sick with excitement! God knows how i'll be come thursday !

That could be a US model. After I spoke to Apple today the lady gave me a very serious "you will not be able to get your iPad before Friday" like she has been saying it to the past 100 callers!
Are all 3G ipads coming with TNT and wifi with UPS? Is anyone with a 3G coming with UPS or wifi with TNT?
I got my invoice yesterday automatically with my shipping notification but nothing has been taken from my account. Apple keep saying my card is a credit card eventhough its a debit card but apparently they treat all Visa cards like that
Double-edged sword for me. iPad on friday which I have never been more excited about anything else, then the crushing realisation that three days later my law degree exams start.
So it's been a week of soul-crushing revision then a day of complete euphoria, followed by the crash of exams.
My 3G is coming via UPS, my tracking code works on the UPS site but is still just saying "billing information recieved". Not got my email invoice yet but I can view and print it from Apple's site. 🙂

Hmmm, that's a tough one. Any chance you can import all of your revision notes into Pages, transfer it to the ipad and at least revise in style? 😛
In terms of those who slip through the net it will likely be those that have been redistributed to smaller couriers, e.g, parcel express etc, from UPS or TNT if they don't cover the area. The reason these smaller firms will ship them out early is that it costs the courier company far more to keep a package than it does to store it. The likes of UPS/TNT will have the facility to
do this and use it in order to keep Apple sweet but the smaller ones will just want the package delivered and out of their hands. So, if your iPad has been passed to a third party courier, I reckon, you've got a good chance of getting it early.

Regarding money being taken. Mine has and I have had the lovely pleasure of paying an extra 30 because I paid using my UK Visa Debit on the German site. Great. But yes, the money has been taken but I have received no invoice, so the opposite of some.

That's what I hoping for.....but it needs to get here in order for that to happen.
With the UPS tracking numbers being down, there is no indication that they are making any progress at all.

My 32GB 3G is coming via UPS. Still on Billing Info received, so it is blatantly sitting in the UK distribution centre until it's time to push them out for Friday delivery.
Do you have Plane Finder for the iPhone/iTouch and iPad? That's good for tracking plane flights and is currently showing TAY002 which is the TNT flight from China to Leige.
Yes I have that as an app on the iPhone and iPad. There are always aircraft not showing that I can see. But great when your out and about.

It could be a US model, but it's probably not! It was delivered with case, camera connection kit and an Italian Vodafone SIM card. He said that according to UPS tracking it was supposed to be still in Holland, and it was delivered to his door instead.
It's a good sign.
Your ok the aviation park is on your doorstep. 220 mile round trip for me. Great using the receiver and a MBP there though as you can see ground movement as well.
I don't know if any UK buyers find this relevant but on my invoice it says my order for my 32GB 3G iPad ships BY 28th May. I leave the UK for 3 months on the second of June till september. According to the apple rep on the phone, he says that my order will be shipped from the UK and not from the factory in China. Meaning that, including Monday being a bank holiday I should receive my goods tuesday! (close one!) yay!
Thats not the right flight, its coming from the wrong part of China. The right flights are some hours behind that one.

18:00 HK time was 11:00 BST.
The Chinese site has not updated since and the UK TNT site still has no info for my Tracking No. It's over 24 hours now so the plane should have landed somewhere 😕😕

It's horrible. I was almost tempted in not going home to collect the iPad and wait until after exams to reward myself, but I can't wait another two weeks.
