UK order updated today 21st to SHIPPED!!

Yeah I think the flight left at 11:35 HK time, although TNT had two 747 planes at HK at the same time so Im not entirely sure which is which. This site shows the position of their planes:

Ours might be the one that is getting close to Dubai. I was expecting it to fly to Liege rather than straight to the UK, so some further tracking info may appear in the hours after about 4-5.30pm tonight when it should land in Liege. But Im only making educated guesses about this as I havent actually spoken to TNT.

Have you asked Apple? I wouldn't put too much faith in the tracking system anyway. It seems a shambles.

Lots of people are still waiting. This is probably because not all of the iPads are starting their journey in China, so they dont need to start moving as quickly. The ones from China will be in Europe in about 7 or 8 hours and then Id expect the ones that are starting in Europe to start getting processed so that they all arrive at about the same time. If yours is already in the UK then nothing may show up until much nearer the time.
 
I'm one of those shipping via TNT UK with a non-functional tracking number (32G 3G + O2 sim). I cracked and called, and he asked what I was having delivered. When I said an iPad, he told me that they had them, but they were being held back until the 28th and that was probably why it wasn't tracking yet.

if thats the case either my ipad is flying high over russia or near saudi ! any way i'd expect tracking to be updated by 18.00 GMT today with an updat as i think it's a 12-13 hour flight

A consignment number issued that pertains to an Athens shipment nearly a month ago that hasn't been purged from the system has nothing to do with overloading.

Why do Apple give you a tracking number and a link at the outset if your not expected to use it???

Yes, several of us on here including me, a lot coming from China and have been visible on the tracking site for days, some others may be coming from Europe or the UK though.

Have you logged on to the US Apple store to check your order? I never got an email but mine has been showing up as being shipped, with tracking info, since Friday.
 
I will assume given that I have just received an invoice for the ipad from Apple and the funds are still not taken that they will update the tracking at some point today or Wednesday and as soon as they ship and track from the UK they will deduct the funds.
 
the Dubai plane will be landing in next 5-10 min as it's 20 miles from runway

unloading and checking in will be in next 90 min so might get an update on tracking and then onto next leg ? to East Mids Airport ? i think thats where TNT have a depot

Did your order status say ship via TNT UK? Are you getting this info from the first tracking number you were given?
 
for all the people saying that their iPads were stock piled in the UK,
if you have your serial number, use that link and find out the build date!
mine was built last week (wk20), so it must surly be on the plane from china now

nope TNT Inter - powers of the internet say 2 planes out of HK one for Dubai and one to Liege both in the air - TNT fly under Emirates and there own Orange branding the one to Dubai is on final approach and will be down and out again rather soon - the other is not on my radar :D yet

i'd expect both planes cargo to be in UK by 01.00 am Wed and maybe just maybe out for delivery WED 05.00 AM or Thursday

well here's hoping

Order for 32GB WiFi and Case, placed 1203 GMT, confirmed (and paid for by maestro) 1009 GMT on the 10th. Shipped email received 1309 BST on 22nd, invoice received 0637 BST today.
 
TNT International no longer works for tracking number - which means they may be transfering the number over to the TNT UK side

I was e-mailed my invoice early doors this morning (although they have been available from the AppleStore for a while), and my card has been debited today although the transaction date is the 22nd which is when I received the shipping notice.

Shipping numbers still don't work tho....

Mine is on "Billing information received", has anyone got passed this stage? Or are all UPS orders stuck on this?
