TNT tracking - FAIL

/waits some more

I'm in the same position as you. Just rang TNT and was told that my ipad is in Coventry and the tracking should "go live" either tonight or tomorrow morning. Apparently all is fine for a friday delivery. One point of interest is when I told the rep on the phone that the goods came from Apple she had to check on a different system which apparently is only used for Apple packages. Keep your fingers crosses.

Wasn't really into the iPad until the wife got a wifi one back in April from the US. Since then I followed the original ...EU news... thread and now this - even placing my order 10th May at 01:30 for the wifi + 3G. I suppose I'm not in such a bad way as I have access to an iPad, but it's not mine, so I've run the gammit of emotions from preorder to money being taken to shipping notification and invoice. Finally in the last few minutes the UPS track info has gone to billing info received. Have faith guys, they are on the way an it only going to a short time from now!

Damnit, the TNT woman said if nothing goes wrong it'll be delivered tomorrow. Then I called Apple and asked if I could rely on the information from TNT or if it's beeing held back as in the US. The guy said the european launch doesn't have anything to do with the US launch and that Apple is no longer in posession of the iPads so I should listen to what TNT says
I don't know what to think

It's different for people who's family members brought them over from the US. Most of us in this thread haven't even seen the iPad in the flesh, nevermind touched it.
Our excitement is beyond anything you could imagine.

Just called TNT, told the nice lady that I am waiting on a parcel (dint say what it is or who from) that was shipped on Monday and that I had two possible tracking numbers (802xxxxxx, 811xxxxxxx). She checked them both and could not find anything, I told I wasn’t sure whether it was coming from UK or abroad. She then asked “has this got anything to do with apple?” I said yes, she then asked “is it an ipad?” I said yes. She told me “all the ipads are out for delivery today but I couldn’t tell you what time as there are thousands of them but defiantly today”.
5 Minutes later I get a call from an unknown number, and it was the lady from TNT saying that she had got her days mixed up, and had to retrieve the recording of my call to get my phone number, and that the delivery will be tomorrow for sure.
Also, my current account has been debited (I am £729 deeper in the red) no actual statement entry yet.

PS: My girlfriend has already declared her hate for the IPad, Apple and this thread, as all I done since Friday is hit refresh :)

Bit off topic,
When I enter my serial number into http://appleserialnumberinfo.com/ it says it has 512 MB of RAM, do you think this could be true? I think the biggest weakness of the ipad is the 256 MB of RAM

You'd think that, but TBH since the day she got it I have hardly had the chance to use it, so it's a case of having one within 3 ft of me and not being able to get to it! Believe me, that's worse than not having one at all.

So tomorrow is a definite possibility. Fortunately I'm off next couple of days, so I've no choice but to sit in front of my 360, listening for the door. I think I can manage that :)

ahhh, im soo worried, im gonna be in all day tomorrow apart from 1-3PM and i can guarantee it will come then! :(

I knew there were some up sides to working from home!! I am going to set my laptop up at the front door and work there, just to make sure I do not miss the TNT guy!

My credit card is now showing I've been charged for my 64GB 3G iPad, case, camera connector kit and O2 sim. My two UPS tracking numbers are now working too. They both show "Billing Information Received".

I just installed the UPS Desktop Widget to keep an eye on things.

I've had two TNT trucks drive past my house at various times throughout the day so far, and it's infuriating :p

I know deep down, it won't be here til Thursday or Friday. Thank god I'm free all day, I'll be sitting at my PC all day with my phone haha :p

Guys, go read the link on page 54 ( here is the link.....http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=123642&page=28) someone has put up, that takes you to an old 2005 thread, for when the new ipod came out...

... Now why I'm telling you this? simply because it contains the same tracking info were getting for most of us here, including the dutch port of call.
But more importantly following that system, it took 14 hours, (god knows why, unless by road) to get to London, then it went out that day for delivery.

So guys using that system and my current tracking,...

26 May 2010 02:42:48 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit.
26 May 2010 01:26:56 Arnhem Hub Shipment In Transit.
24 May 2010 18:03:47 Hong Kong Shipment In Transit.

I would say, mine will arrive in UK around 5pm, today and then go out tomorrow, so I will see.

But looking at that old thread, gives us a lot clearer picture I think

Haha, nice one.

My Fiancee has pretty much just submitted herself to my iPad hysteria. I don't think she's had a choice. She's muttered "I'm sure you love that bloody iPhone and iPad more than me!" a couple of times this week, although I'm sure she was only half joking!

Like the iPhone, as soon as it actually arrives I'll be fighting for it out of her hands. She's an Apple fan girl very much in denial.

As for tracking, I'm starting to think I'm the only person who hasn't chased their iPad's up yet. I've followed this forum since January, the EU News thread since creation and now this thread since this week, but I think getting hung up on a tracking update is a step closer to insanity further than I'm willing to step! Currently, I'm banking on it arriving on Friday, although there will be someone at home this week anyway just incase it arrives early. I've received all my invoices and had my account billed around the same time as everyone else in this thread so that's all the tracking info I need.

Red Dead Redemption? If not it should be! :D

OK. So I cracked...finally and telephoned TNT international. I do need to change a detail on my address as things sometimes end up next door when it's not the regular postie and I can't bear the prospect of someone else getting their mitts on it and not me! A very nice lady took my details - I gave her the nine digit 802****** number and she said that it was incorrect - missing a digit and it's Apple's fault??? Said I should contact them.
I have been sitting here (relatively) calmly so far reading the posts but am now semi-worried. Does everyone with TNT have a nine digit 802... number? Why doesn't mine work? She tried all of the reference numbers that I've had and even my postcode but still no joy.

How dare you come to this thread and use logic and deduction! There's room for nothing here but panic, paranoia and irrationality.... :D

Now to go choose either the nude case, or the mcally snap on cover..mmmm
