Cheers, yeah I posted a little while ago to say mine had changed to that too. I suppose there is still a chance to get it tomorrow but the timing is fairly tight.

So much for all my earlier speculation about them flying from Liege to UK!
 
grrrr why is there no information from UPS?! Billing information received...

Anyone called them recently?
 
Hi - my reference number (which replaced the estimated delivery date on Apple's order tracking site) wasn't recognised on the UPS website until this afternoon. It now says "Billing Information Received" but no further details. Sounds like this is pretty common. I'm a bit confused that some people seem to be getting their iPads through TNT. Apple ought to make all of this clearer in their emails - without you guys I would have been clueless! As for the tw@t who claimed to his early; thanks a million for getting my hopes up and making me feel stupid!

Yay! There's now movement on my iPad as well :)

The 811xxxxxxx consignment number and the 8023xxxxx reference number are now showing as London as the destination (which is correct) instead of Athens on the TNT International tracking site.

The 811xxxxxxx number also works on Posted Lite on my iPod Touch.
 
Can finally track through UPS, says billing info received. Guessing it will be shipped out of UPS early Friday.
 
Just got off the phone with a lady in TNT's international department. When my reference number brought up no records, she asked if it was an iPad I was waiting for (wonder how many thousand calls they've had already?? :p) She said I should stay in all tomorrow as they cannot guarantee a time of delivery, but it will be delivered on Thursday for sure.

Perhaps others with TNT consignments that won't have anybody available to accept delivery tomorrow should call just to be on the safe side!! I doubt she'd tell me to take a day off and sit by the door if she weren't certain it would be delivered tomorrow.

Oh and, for what it's worth, she's got one coming too. So I guess her keen interest in getting one means she's likely to know. ;)
 
Ipad delivery due tomorrow

Phoned Apple they said all deliveries would be Friday and that it would be TNT that would deliver my iPad. Checked TNT Tracking facility this aft and it said picked up 26th May. Phoned their freephone number to find out when delivery would be. I was advised that it would be delivered between 9am and 6pm tomorrow or I could collect from the depot in Edinburgh between 9am and 4pm or 8pm-9.30pm tomorrow. I'm gutted, I am working in Glasgow all day tomorrow, so had to ask them to hold until Friday to deliver. I am in Kirriemuir which is near Aberdeen. They obviously don't know they are supposed to hang on to them in Edinburgh! May'be it is because I ordered a few things, not just the iPad.

If I didn't have to work I could have my iPad a day earlier. :mad: On the other hand if I didn't work there would be no iPad!! :rolleyes:

What's the point if they don't physically have the package? Seems like UPS has only received billing info from Apple and nothing else.

Also, it's only 2 days to go now, and it seems to be becoming clear that almost everyone here is going to be receiving their iPads on Friday.

that's not clear at all, there is more talk of delivery tomorrow (via TNT) than Friday. Would be useful to know if UPS has the same idea, or if they have been instructed when to pick up the packages. Then we might have some idea. UPS will definitely know more than who to send the bill too.
 
Just spoke to a nice girl at TNT. The parcels are "in transit" to your local depot. I guess they are getting scanned as they are being loaded onto the right truck for your depot/part of the country. They should all end up (the ones scanned at least) at your local depot tonight for delivery tomorrow.

Just have to wait for the tracking info to update to say when it finally gets to Manch I guess. Then ring the depot and go get it :)

Yeah...my TNT delivery works now. Actually said 'Yeah' out loud when I found out...I am sooooooo sad!

My TNT tracking has updated too. I phoned TNT and gave consignment number. The guy asked if it was an iPad that was being delivered. He said there were thousands of iPads being processed and sent out to the local depots tonight for delivery tomorrow!!!! Apple have instructed TNT to automatically try to deliver again on Friday if no one is in to sign for the iPad on Thursday.
