Tough to do that since the store models are in demo mode and cycle through random screens.

Patience young padawan - wait to take the picture...:)

Seriously - know I understand, since I didn't have the luxury of a pre-fitting. Still, if at all possible, it would be good if someone could capture comparable screens in a comparison shot...

finally settled for 38mm now

I think, if you look at the watch yourself, it looks different, than if somebody else looks on the watch , the distance to the mirror was about 75cm.
(Sorry for the bad quality, my hands were bit shaky)

This is a great guide. Super simple and much easier to visualise than wrapping a measuring tape around your wrist.

Tapering arm

I put the CC on and my arm on one end is a "c" but the end near he hand is more like "a" or possibly "b"
@ My try on appt. I thought the 38 looked nice , but he genius said I could pull off the 42.... I wanted the bigger screen and battery life....so I bought 42mmSSML
It looks big but you can see a little band on the top and bottom while wearing
And I'm getting used to it.
(My wrist is 165mm)

Could you post some photos?

My wrist is about 172. After a week of deliberating, I visited the local Best Buy just to see if any there. No, but guy told me his friend has one and to definitely go with the 42. Personally, I think 38 would look better on me, but I figured I would regret the smaller one. And, the Samsung Gear 2 is huge compared to the 42.

Did anyone else find that the sizing decision for people with medium wrists depends largely on which band is mounted on the watch? For example, 42mm with the Milanese Loop looked very awkward on me; the 38mm looked a lot better. However, with the ss link bracelet, the 42mm looked better and not too big at all; almost as if the link bracelet itself begs for a 'chunkier' look as opposed to the Milanese which is more sleek.

Yes! I posted this about a couple of pages back...
When I was trying on the 38mm SS with modern buckle it changed the look of the watch (made the watch seem smaller on my wrist), we ( Associate and I) determined that it was because the way that the band is a straight cut in width and also the flat texture of the band. In contrast to the classic leather band, where the band tapers from wide at the base of the watch, to thin at the prongs and wholes at the end of the band, plus the actual texture of leather.

In short stick with bands that taper from wide to thin, if its anything like the modern buckle where its a straight cut band it could change the appearance of the watch.

Tried on a 42mm today for the heck of it.. I think it's too big for me wrist but a part of my thinks the 38mm is too small. If only Apple made a 40mm. lol

I'm a "B" in reference to the guide. I always assumed I would be getting the 42mm so I never worried about the 38mm. After reading this thread, I hijacked my Mom's 38mm to see how it felt while waiting on my 42mm. I think I would be more comfortable with the 42mm. This one does feel small to me, mainly because I usually wear watches that are larger than this. However, I don't want one that screams smart watch.

I wish I had paid more attention to the size at the try on. I only tried on the 42mm and never really thought about how ti actually looked because I was so set on that size.

Thoughts?

I think that size looks great on you! That's exactly how I'd want my watch to fit. But if you're used to wearing larger, and are happier with the way the 42mm feels, then go with the 42mm.
