As you can see, it’s on the charger.
Mine have night clock enabled, so I guess, that is why it just start without extra confirmation, if I recall correctly.

It says "Verifying" for a while and then it just goes back to the screen with "Install" on it. And, then,I receive a notice on my iPhone telling me that it's not connected to the Internet.Ok. And what happens when you press install?

I also have Nightstand Mode enabled.
My sentiments exactly. One day old watch and it won’t update and it won’t save GPS data for workouts.
Same issue here on my new Apple Watch Series 6 that was delivered yesterday. I have been trying for the past 2 hours now as well. Unlinked my watch, restored to factory settings, soft reset of phone and watch, etcetera. Deleted the download from the watch and re-downloaded. I am at a loss here, it seems like a software bug? My Series 4 worked just fine.I just received my Hermes series 6 and I am having the same issue! I have just spent the last 2 hours trying everything to get it to install.
I tried again, completely resetting the watch, now not setting a passcode and going through the cycle again. The blue download bar completes, and the preparation step seems to get further this round but again failed when it was almost done. It's also not possible to remove the download as under 'usage' you don't see the downloaded firmware so the only way to retry it to o the full reset and setup cycle again.I switched off the wifi - mine is communicating well via bluetooth, still no luck - update cannot be verified.
I saw somewhere on the web that if you disable the passcode on the watch the problem will be solved.

That’s the problem. It should, but it doesn’t.Yes, then it should start, when you put it on charger.
Thanks!!! I have tried everything and updating from the watch totally worked!!!I'll just repeat my first post, since I haven't seen anyone trying it. Try updating from the watch, instead of the phone.
