Trading in my MBP 16" 2019 Trade in value $1210 does this price go down as the 2021 gets released this month

Man O man, just yesterday I ordered an MBA- M1 w/ 8‑core CPU, 8‑core GPU, and 16‑core Neural Engine - 16GB/512GB.

Should I cancel that order and move up to a new model Pro?

Is it possible that the the GPU built into the M1X will outperform what's currently available as discreet GPU options on the intel 16 inch MBP? I just can't imagine a computer geared towards professional video editing and grading that lacks a discreet GPU, but I haven't tested what the M1s can do in terms of GPU yet.

this will be a key deciding factor and moreso will eGPU access be fully supported without restrictions in performance?!

If Apple ignores that than I might as well just stick with an iPad and use a windows computer.

New iPads?
Not a chance in Hades.

I'd cancel the order and then reassess when you have the facts. The new 14" Pro will likely start at 16 GB / 512 GB anyway.

Unless you are at max budget, I would cancel and see what is unveiled and its price. The 14" and 16" will be more than the 13", but how much more is not clear.

Depends on what you want to spend. The M1 Air is a great machine. If the prices stay the same as the to be replaced intel mbp's the 14" 16/512 would be £1799 which is £350 more than the M1 Air but you are are getting the newer chipset. If you've ordered the Air through Apple you do have the 14 day return policy.

With this event is it just like the iphone event where as you have to wait a couple days before you can order

Not giving up on boot camp so it’s a no go for me, the m1x graphics won’t ever be on pair with dedicated gpu’s I can’t see the m1x being more powerful than the amd 5600 gpu
stay on x86 til the last minute - it'll come sooner than you think

512 SSD is ok for a Regular Macbook, But for a MacBook Pro base in 2021?? That is pathetic for a so-called" PRO" MacBOOK...
That is so Apple so they can rip you of with obscene upgrade prices to 1TB

Let's guess how many times, Tim Cook is going to use the word "Ever"
Excited to see new computers, though not excited about the presentation. Lately, all presentations have been boring to say the least.

There's an article up now that explains why it's reasonable to expect purchases starting immediately after the event.

I am hoping like with watch 7, people have it wrong and the AirPods are released without the hideous ear tips…if they were correct thenApple loses my money on another product this year

I wasn’t planning on upgrading my 2018 Mini but if Apple announces an M1X Mini i may jump on that.
