And now, that's my story : I received already the email that confirm my device is unlocked too. I did the steps follow but now my device still is locked. I tried to restore too many time with the iTunes but my device is not still unlocked. I contacted with both of AT&T and Apple supporters's online phone but they have no answer for me. The AT&T's Service and Apple's Service told me that my iPhone 6 Plus is already to unlock. I really feel terrible with that cause I received the email "Congrats" so fast. Without the AT&T sim card I can't active my iPhone. Who could help me ? I'm living in Vietnam.

It sounds like people on NEXT plans have a better chance of getting unlocked than people on traditional 2 year contracts.

thanks for the instructions echipvn, I tried those and didn't get the immediate denial a couple minutes after doing this like I normally do, maybe it worked :)

been over a day with no contact or denial from ATT, is this normal?
-EDIT nevermind, it was in spam! I am unlocked :)

Still getting denied. Have been trying about once a week for over 2 months now. No go with my Next iPhone 6. I have tried all the "tricks" like Pre-paid and non-AT&T customer, but it wont work for me.

I had the same issue, that's why I went with a paid service and got unlocked in 2.5 days.

I submitted two requests yesterday about 6:30pm and still haven't even received a confirmation email. When I check status it says "On hold" because I haven't clicked the link in the confirmation email. Has this happened to anyone else?

After getting denied to unlock my iPhone 6 Plus, I keep getting this email from at&t over 10 times since yesterday.

I too keep getting emails from like 2 weeks back, they just don't stop. Seems AT&T system is suffering from retardism lol

I basically gave up. There must be something about certain IMEI, or accounts, or a combination of some factor we don't know. I've tried 30 times now over the last couple of weeks. No dice.

so weird, I just 3 emails at the same time that said

But they said it was already unlocked a few days ago. Can they re-lock it?

I have no idea how I missed this thread.

I submitted a request today (on 2 yr contract) and I immediately got a confirmation email. Clicked on the link, and about an hour later got a confirmation that my phone was unlocked. Just need to restore at this point.

Pls advise

Thank you for contacting AT&T about unlocking your AT&T Mobile device.

Unfortunately, your unlock request was denied because:

You have not completed all the payments for your device according to your AT&T Next service agreement.

You can submit a new request once you complete all your device payments.

Questions? Please call 800.331.0500, or dial 611 from your AT&T wireless phone.

What are the chances of getting unlocked?????

I just bought an unlocked iPhone 6 Plus for myself. Was on the 6 before.

Since I now have my ATT sim card in my new 6 Plus, will my old iP6 unlock without any problems? I wish to give it to my gf who's currently on T-Mobile.

And if I'm good to go, what type of Customer Type do I go with for my situation?

I just got mines unlocked after trying about 6 times straight.

Heres a tip for you guys that worked for me: try using the phone number of the account holder, with YOUR imei.

For some reason when I would use MY phone number it wouldnt work and it was a straight denial. However when I used the account owners number, with my imei number, it went right through and got accepted within 2 minutes.

Wow that worked for me too! I didn't use the account holder phone number, but I used the other # on my account that has an out-of-contract phone (iPhone 5 - which is already unlocked). So I used their tel # with my iPhone 6 IMEI and I got a confirmation email that my phone has been unlocked!

Just unlocked my AT&T Next 6 Plus. It is not yet paid off (bought it in Sept).

Did the request online. Received the Congrats It's Unlocked email within 3 minutes of clicking the link in the confirmation email!
