Just unlocked my AT&T Next 6 Plus. It is not yet paid off (bought it in Sept).

Did the request online. Received the Congrats It's Unlocked email within 3 minutes of clicking the link in the confirmation email!

What was your process? Haven't been able to unlock my 6 that's under NEXT

how you did that ?
iphone 6 6+ are still in contract isnt it ?
did u submit via their forum or called them

Follow the instructions at the very beginning of the thread. If you're still under contract, worst that could happen is they say "no". Although they unlocked my phone that was still under contract.

I just got mines unlocked after trying about 6 times straight.

Heres a tip for you guys that worked for me: try using the phone number of the account holder, with YOUR imei.

For some reason when I would use MY phone number it wouldnt work and it was a straight denial. However when I used the account owners number, with my imei number, it went right through and got accepted within 2 minutes.

I just went an hour straight of DENIED until I tried another phone number on my family plan and it worked first try. Try another AT&T number or account and it might just work.

I'm on a 2 year contract, not NEXT

On my wife's AT&T 5s I submitted a couple of requests that got denied immediately, then one went through successfully. When she got home later, I popped in a tmobile sim and it gave the "SIM Not Valid" message. I backed it up/restored via iTunes, but no success either.

Is there a delay between getting the phone unlocked and Apple recognizing it?

Edit: Tried putting the T-Mobile SIM into the phone again this evening and it worked.

denied! denied! denied!......
Soon give up...

With prices now being reasonable on premium services you might want to consider just paying if unlock is what you really need at this moment.

Prices are in the $30's range now from Samunlocks and Swiftunlocks.

Tried 30 times

ugh, I tried every trick for 30 times and now I'm thinking about giving up for today. I will try later maybe. Seriously considering to pay for the premium service. I just thought that I might get lucky like the others but well darn it...

If you need the unlock so bad, then consider paying it, your device most likely is getting denied due to being on contract or payments owing (even if you are paying your bills regularly), as thread title says Your Milage May Vary (YMMV). If anything try after 14 days, re-trying continuously isn't going to give you any better result as the rejection email is probably coming in instantly...

I tried the att website unlock with my iPhone 6, and it said I could unlock it! Did the reset and it didn't say "your phone is unlocked" or anything at all like that, but I put in a t mobile sim card and it worked, does this mean my phone is unlocked? Really want to use it in Europe.

Anyone else had this happen, where it doesn't give any unlocked message but is in fact unlocked?

I went with this method. My wife's line is off her two year contract. My phone is still under contract until September. I used her number with my IMEI number and got the emails within a minute of each other. I can't believe I didn't know this before my trip to the Philippines last month.

***UPDATE***
After backing up my phone and restoring this is the outcome of the quick unlock. Thanks everyone.

Glad it worked out for you bud! You didnt have to restore though, you could have just popped in a non-att sim card

tried numerous times throughout the passed couple of months but hasn't worked out for me at all. oh well.

Just purchased another iPhone 6 this week and submitted the unlock request today. It was approved within one minute. I used the IMEI of the new phone (primary line), but I didn't use that line's phone number. I used the phone number of a secondary line.

Has anyone had recent luck with a straight 2 year contract request? I unfortunately don't have any other lines on my account to use for the unlock, only very old iPhone IMEIs which won't help.
