Please keep us updated if any of these clear cases end up scratching the chrome bezel like crazy on your new 3g. On my original iPhone, the Belkin, Griffin, Agent 18 clear cases all ended up scratching the chrome on my iPhone bezel like crazy. I also read that silicon ones also end up scratching up the bezel.

I have both the Griffin Wave and the Agent18 (SHIELD) Clear Case for the 3G.

The Griffin Wave - Has the potential to scratch the chrome bezel. I tried 2 same cases: the first one did not and the 2nd one did. It's a gamble.

The Agent18 (SHIELD) Clease Case - Did not scratch mine at all. I noticed that the plastic around the chrome bezel does not touch the iPhone at all. I guess they listened to the complaints on the one for the 1st gen iPhone.

The only complaint I have about the Agent 18 is the back: it scratches. It does not scratch easily but it will still look like crap after a while. Mine is 4 days old and it already has lots. But all in all I am happy with it. I just wish they make a "smoked" version that won't attract sratches. :)

I really like this case compared to the iSee, it doesn't add much bulk or weight, and the little round nubs on the back make it sit on the desk better without wobbling everywhere.

*Edit* in the pics you cant see the home button, it is there and the cut out is perfect. I'm also using this case with the crystal screen protector film installed with no problems at all

FedX is suppose to deliver this case to my house today. I ordered on Tuesday.

I will tell you how I like it.

Loving the Iphone so far, I have seen no issues so far..

I have just bought my first ever see through case. The Agent18 one is simply the best hardcase I have used so far. I have used the Griffin Wave and Capsule Rebel.

Best thing about the Agent18 one is that it doesn't add much bulk to the phone. Also functionality-wise it doesn't impair anything.

Think I may have a hard time to ditch this when my Vaja leather flip case arrives!

Hi there,
Quick question..I have the Agent18 case too. Does your case have a gap between the two halves? This seems more noticeable at the top left corner on mine. The whole case is firmly closed but there's some gappage around it.

Yes, I got the same case and I have the same problem. Looseness and a gap on the upper left corner. I emailed Agent18 about it and I got this response from them:

Thank you for your email. We are very sorry but you did receive a shield that is defective. The first shields that were sent out were defective as a result of one of our molding tools that caused warping to occur. Send us your name, address and type of shield so we can send you a replacement.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,

Agent18

I love the look of the case-mate Naked Case and some of the others, but does anyone know which of these acrylic cases have a holster available?

I'm in a job where I (unfortunately) have to carry my iPhone on my belt.

Thanks.

That's a tough question to answer. I've looked at a lot of places, yet there doesn't seem to be any good cases with belt clips or holsters. Apparently, the XyloDuo is supposed to have a holster, yet I can't find how to order it on their website.

Okay, based on this thread I bought the NuTouch case from Fommy and it....SUCKS! I was so disappointed. The screen cover looks so bad. I don't know if they sold me an old, returned one, but the cover was dirty and it ruined the look of the beautiful screen.

I will be sending it back tomorrow.

The search continues.

PS, I actually think they copied the Xylo case and made a knock-off.

Seriously, it was really bad.

Did you remove the plastic film over the screen cover?

Yes you have to remove the plastic film over the screen cover...I was getting upset, thinking my case was all dirty and scratched...until I remove that plastic film...and dang...this is an awesome case!!

I still have the casemate naked case on order...so if that one is better I will keep it...but in the meantime...the nutouch case is awesome. It is so thin!

Get it people..

Thats my problem with Agent 18. Just too loose, one drop and the case falls apart and your iPhone goes flying off the case. Getting all scratched up. Plus the loose gap mean crud/grit will get it rubbing on to our bezel and body. The bezel will get all screwed up with lots of scratches all over it.

Im thinking about returning my belkin slicone case i got from the apple store when i got my iphone. Im looking at the casemate "Naked" case.
I've heard differnt reviews, seems like some people love it and some people
cant stand it.
Im a big texter and can anyone that has the case tell me is it still easy to text with the case on?

Im thinking about keeping the case i have and adding the screen protecter pack.. just not sure if that will offer protection for the screen if droped.

LOL :p I wonder where SecretNY is now? He's probably  not finding out about the plastic film over the screen cover. :D

I'm here :) I just read the post and checked the film out...and it looks a lot better! BUT, I use the phone for the two hour commute to listen to podcasts and AOL radio. I connect to the AUX input to my radio in the car with a double male ended stereo plug. The problem with this case it the headphone jack won't take the standard plug!

I really like the design of this case. If anyone has an idea I'd appreciate it.

In the meantime I bought an Agent 18 Clear Shield with anti-glare film and it looks very good.

Later.

i'm happy with my ebay case

I bought this case off of ebay for $19.99 + shipping. It's a Gear4 Icebox knockoff but it works great! No problems with the responsiveness of the touch and I thought I would have problems with dust getting it but I cleaned the case really well before I put the phone in and have not had to open the case to clean the iPhone at all.

No scratches on the metal. Yet. :D

Here are some photos I took:

I bought my case from fommy.com thanks to the pics and reveiw posted by murphy's law. The case is awesome. The customer service was excellent and I got 10% off of my order with the code fommycall10. I ordered my case at 1:30 PM yesterday and had my case today at 1:30 PM. That's what I call a quick turn-time. By the way I live in the Dallas area.

ivyskin suck

I had recentley purchased the ivyskin touch thru invisible full cover case and all i have to say is that it completey sucks....the touch thryough that it claims to have is terrible, it works but u gotta apply force to get it working, it is like using the touch on an lg voyager. It is also clunky, it ruins the back of the iphone, it adds a squarish raise on the back as in the iphone is no longer smooth and it constantly comes undone because locking the two pieices is terrible. Also i thought docking it would be easy, but the flipping case adds a lot to the bottom making it impossible to dock...don't buy this case

I just got the Agent18 clear case for my new white iPhone and so far I really like it. It has a slim profile and doesn't conceal the back of the phone. I think the iPhone looks really hot in this case.

Is it a tight fit or loose? I returned mine since it was loose and felt flimsy. The top snaps on is so weak that one drop and it will explode of sending your iPhone sliding all over the cement. Plus being loose your bezel will get all screwed up with it moving around in there.

Mine is fitting perfectly. It is snug and doesn't move around inside the case at all. I just opened it up and checked the silver bezel all around the edge and the plastic back, and it's not scratched at all. I've only had it for 2 days, but, I've been using the iPhone (my "Mini Mac") quite a bit.

The case snaps together in 3 places: the top and both sides. You're right that the top snap (the smallest one) doesn't seem very strong, but, so far it hasn't opened up on it's own. I haven't dropped it (yet), but, I can see how the case could pop open if that happened. I'm more concerned about the impact of the fall, and I think this case would at least protect the iPhone from being damaged if it dropped to the floor.

I like the fact that you lay the iPhone into the back part of the shell, then simply snap on the front part of the shell to secure the iPhone inside. It doesn't require that you slide the phone in or out of the shell, which I think could cause a lot of scratching just doing that.

Of the clear cases I've seen, I liked the smaller, minimum profile of this one. It has a thin rubberized strip along each side that makes it easy to hold and pickup. Two capsule-shaped rubber "pads" on the inside of the back part of the shell keeps the case from touching the back of the iPhone directly, and also keeps the phone in place.

So far, I'm happy with this case, and I think the iPhone looks great in it. I like that the silver Apple logo is still visible with the case on.

Well I can't decide if I'm gonna go with the Naked Case from CaseMate or the one from the fommy.com site. Any opinions? They look to both do the same thing. Any idea when the cases from Case Mate are actually going to start shipping?

Ok - I solved my own dillema..ordered the Naked Case. You guys will probably be interested. Bought it from Appleprostore.com where it's on sale for 26.99. It was gonna be $35 from Case-mate + shipping.

Then you can also use a 10% off coupon on Appleprostore by typing in WEB10%OFF during checkout. Shipping is like $3...I got it for $26 and some change total.

Here's the link to the case.

Hope this helps - I was happy to get it for so cheap!
