HDMI 2.1 should be standard on all computers built 2022-present. I expect 2.1.I hope it'll have HDMI 2.1 port support, if not, I'll just wait for M3 version.
It's both fascinatingly bad and also somehow extremely likely. I love it. 😂Apple mistakenly enabled a page on the Apple Store's newsroom. It's deleted now, but here is the screen cap.

Sounds like M2 Mac Mini's finally.Mac Mini could finally be the 2nd product being announced tomorrow?
Or a boring 14" & 16" MBP combo. Zzz...Sounds like M2 Mac Mini's finally.
I agree and unfortunately if it is a very minor spec update, the chances are high that the connectors will not be updated. Especially since Apple shipped the Apple TV 4k (Oct `22) with hdmi 2.0 support considering HDMI is the primary connector there.HDMI 2.1 should be standard on all computers built 2022-present. Wait. Does Apple consider the 14 and 16 MBP as just one? Or would it be that Apple randomly sends just 1 MBP configurationMac Mini could finally be the 2nd product being announced tomorrow. ✌️
Na, since those are basically the same product, except for battery life and size, apple rarely sends out two of those.Or a boring 14" & 16" MBP combo. Zzz...
Given that more professionals use macbooks over Apple TV I'd say 2.1 would be a #1 priority as it would allow Apple to launch a 120hz Pro Display XDR.I agree and unfortunately if it is a very minor spec update, the chances are high that the connectors will not be updated. I was thinking that too but I think it's MacBook Pro and Mac Mini. I don't see Apple shipping both the 14" or 16" to the reviewers. It's just a difference in screen size.Wait. Does Apple consider the 14 and 16 MBP as just one? Or would it be that Apple randomly sends just 1 MBP configuration
Didn't stop Apple sending 14" & 16" M1 combos out to everyone when they launched.....Na, since those are basically the same product, except for battery life and size, apple rarely sends out two of those.
No, they won't. M2 Pro/Max will still be based on the A15 cores, which are on TSMC's N5P.Yes, but Apple will name these 4nm as they did with the iPhones
Im nearly 37 years old and its been 20+ years since I got excited for Christmas, seeing the last couple of post about tomorrow has made me feel like im 10 years old again on Christmas Eve,
Apple does not use HDMI port for any of its displays, XDR is not going to use HDMI either; it will be displayport via thunderbolt. They'll prioritize DP 2.0/2.1 instead if they're going to push 120hz at higher resolution.Given that more professionals use macbooks over Apple TV I'd say 2.1 would be a #1 priority as it would allow Apple to launch a 120hz Pro Display XDR.
Plus TV and movies won't benefit from 2.1.
What on earth are you on about.Like I said earlier the M2 Pro/Max are being prepped as the first M-socs to run xrOS apps, a scheme to kill the M1 along the way. That’s why it needs WiFi6E. Forcing upgrades of the 2021 Macbook Pros just after 1.5 years. That’s the new Apple for you.
The brightest among us will notice that even an iPad might be able to run them later on and there gonna be a lot of damage control for the outrage why the 2021 will be limited or left-out.
Yeah, it will be TSMC N5P just like the A15 and M2. I don't know why people would think it would be anything else.Ooooooh it’s gonna be so fun reading the threads when it comes out and it’s 5 nm.
