If the MBP goes to 3nm then I’ll go for it
it will absolutely not, and if it’s an ounce tomorrow, it especially absolutely will not.
Please people, read the date on this article.

December 30th.
3 nm production officially began around December 30.
That doesn’t mean Apple’s 3NM products went into production around December 30.
That means a process that affects one component of Apple‘s entire computer went into production.
Expecting Apple to have 3NM PRODUCTS all built in the millions, tested, submitted for filings and regulatory approval, and ready to go in 17 days is just simply impossible.
Expecting 3 nm things to be ready by March is close to impossible.
5NM went into production back in April 2020. Apple didn’t release new products with it until October. Six full months later. And the first product with it? The iPhone, of course.
The MacBook Pro wouldn’t get it until October 2021, 18 months after it began production.
It’s certainly not gonna get 3 nm in 17 days.
The iPhone goes into mass production around April/May, obviously it’s going to be the first product with 3 nm.
It’s their biggest product, it’s their most famous product, it’s their best selling product, it’s their most profitable product, and it was also the first product to get both 7 nm in 2018 and 5 nm in 2020.
Also the iPhone has the most to gain from the efficiency brought on by 3 nm.
The 16 inch 2021 MacBook Pro already gets close to 24 hour battery life.
