I first want to thank Lordofthereef for being VERY patient with me on this.
Thanks Slick.
I too, am happy that things worked out for you. Situations such as the one you were in are the reason I personally will ALWAYS recommend just leting the system upgrade things for you. We were at a point where I thought I would have to re-activate things. Luckily it did not come to that!
Enjoy your data, and as always, shoot me a text with any questions! 515

After I notified Lordofthereef that this was completed, he ran the activation of the iPhone 2G on his end. When that was done, I had to call in to AT&T to finish the activation process. All the information I needed when I called in was provided to me by Lordofthereef. Unfortunately for me, I had to go to an AT&T and verify my account in person by providing a picture ID. I don't know why, but its not Lordofthereef's fault that this happened. AT&T might be catching on or the account was flagged or something.
To clarify, this seems to have something to do with the number of times a specific handset gets used (this is me hypothesizing now). I have no reason to believe this is due to a flagged account. Either way, I have never had an activation fail, just that around 40% of cases will require showing your ID. The way this has been explained to me by an ATT rep (so take this with a grain of salt LOL!) is that ATT wants to know that an actual live person, and one that has proper clearance to make changes to the account, is actually requesting these changes be made. I say to take this with a grain of salt because that does not, at all, explain why the majority of these activations go through without this extra step.
