Don't see this happening unless apple amazes with something besides the retina display, still paying whatever the 64+3G costs thought
thats a opinion. a retina display will be awesome ofcource. but IMO a price increase isnt worth it unless they also use the latest and greatest CPU and GPU. Il buy it either way, but il be disappointed if the price increase is only for a retina display, better camera, and only slightly increased specs.I don't know... I doubt about it.
Typically, Apple always keep the same price, or even drop it. I understand they might have some new cost such Retina Display or so, but I'm quite sure they would do everything to keep the price to the same price, even if they have to not include some features yet.
If they do increase the price, it means it will really be worth it and a huge step in comparison to the iPad 2.
Anyway, let's just wait few more days and we'll all know
Spid
this makes the iPad even more of a gimmick.
apple has some really good values now:
the base MBA is great value
the ATV2 is great value
the iPad is horrible value
the iPhone is horrible value
the iPod Touch is reasonable value
it's quite interesting
So, you all want:
- A bleeding-edge retina display
- In a shell no more than 1mm thicker than an iPad 2
- With LTE
- Made by people paid a respectable wage
- Made by people with an appreciating currency
And yet any price increase is a deal breaker?
If there's a screen resolution increase, Apple would have to up the memory to be able to play higher definition video.
Yes, I think a $70 increase in price is drastically more expensive. Especially if you consider that the 16 GB iPad 3 model, if the rumours are true, will be almost as expensive as the 32 GB iPad 2 model.Huh?
Shipping Rumor:
While Apple may be shipping iPad3s right now, this story doesn't "feel" right. Apple uses FedEx and UPS, which have specific hubs all packages go before distributing to local hubs. None of the airports listed are among either companies main or regional hubs. Packages do not go direct from Hong Kong or China to LAX or ORD. They go to Alaska then Indiana or KY, or other hub first.
yep thats what i said. apple doesnt do currency converting from USD to euroYes, I think a $70 increase in price is drastically more expensive. Especially if you consider that the 16 GB iPad 3 model, if the rumours are true, will be almost as expensive as the 32 GB iPad 2 model.
And since I live in Europe, and Apple does one on one pricing, the price increase over here will be about $135.
Yep.Wait... So everybody wants quad core, retina display, 1GB ram, new design, LTE and an 8mp camera + improved front camera. But you are not willing to pay a small amount more?
it actually, because you could have almost 8 NOOKs for that price
so people who wouldn't be happy paying an extra $70 for:
-one of the highest res mobile screens available
-upgraded processor
-upgraded GPU
-upgraded Cameras
-upgraded cell radios (4G LTE)
I wonder, what exactly do you want apple to add?
A grilled cheese maker? Built in Piggy Bank to save for iPad 4? Free dinner when you buy an iPad? New pair of shoes?
I mean, really, what is it that you want?
If that's the case I would definitely expect the iPad 2 to live on in some capacity at a lower price point (though still above the Kindle Fire/Nook Tablet).
$399 for a 32 GB iPad 2 Wifi?
