Nice, Watch is the one Apple product that needs to be thinner.
Would make sense if they making major changes to watchOS to debut it at WWDC.
I was thinking the same thing. Unlike the iPhone which doesn't need to get any thinner, although it is with the next-gen model. The Apple Watch, though currently not too bad in that department would benefit from looking a little sleeker than it is at the moment. It also needs to be faster and hopefully incorporate a power efficient GPS module so that you can go for a run without having to schlepp around your iPhone with you.

Haha! This thing is already suck on battery life, now they want it 40% thinner? You must be kidding me!

The battery life is fine. I could get two days if needed, but charge it every nite on its side to use it as a bed side alarm clock. In one year of use every day all day i have never gone to bed with less than 50% charge left.

I would like thinner, and of course faster!

As an owner of the first one I could see myself buying another if it has glucose sensors and is more performative and consistent, especially Siri.

If it's just gonna be a "we've made it thinner!" then I don't think I'll upgrade, it needs a lot more than just that.

You could maybe invented a time machine to jump 30 years into the future for when battery technology that could even make this possible might exist...maybe.

You are completely wrong. The time machine would only need to jump 10 years into the future, not 30, to get these features.

You really need to get that crystal ball tuned!

Hopefully they increase the battery life instead of making it thinner. I won't get one until the price drops or significant health sensors are added to up this things utility.

What sense does it make not to include the dual lenses in iPhone 7 but in 7 Plus? It's not that 7 Plus users are interested in taking good pictures while 7 users aren't. Even Huawei has introduced dual cameras in a chassis which is similar to alleged iPhone 7 size. I'm confident that it won't help Apple at all to push the sales up as dual lens camera could really be an attractive feature on iPhone 7. This days Apple choices baffles me. Looks like people who are making these decisions have lost their minds.

Damn it. I wanted to buy an Apple Watch tomorrow. Seeing rumours like this makes me doubt whether to get it now or wait. I really really want one. Blah.

You should hold off, I find mine only slightly useful. It is just too slow. If you really can't hold off then just pick one up on eBay that's already got a few scratches then you don't have to feel bad about beating it up. That's what I did, then I really put some good scratches on the screen.

Thinner would be nice but better battery life and waterproof is a must for me.
I hope Apple can create a swimming tracker or somehow allow more features without the need for an iPhone next to it.

What is it with Apple's pathological, psychological, sociopathic, xenophobic, communist obsession with thinness? The Apple Watch is already thin enough. Any thinner and it will cut into your skin.

j/k
Ask Jony. While he is obsessed with thinness, he is getting thicker.

Thinner? Meh, maybe a little bit might be nice, but echoing everyone else here, I'd rather have greater functionality and processing speed be the primary goal.

Maybe it'll be used for something much more short form than what you're thinking of. Could be good for selfies or vines.

I could also see it being used for security purposes. I don't own the current Apple Watch so correct me if I'm wrong, but right now, isn't the security done by having you put on the Apple Watch, then pair with an iPhone?

A way of not needing the iPhone anymore would be to say that you need to instead put it on, then look at the Apple Watch camera, it scans your face, and from that it knows you're you.

I could actually see face scanning for security working really well on the Apple Watch since you have to wear it on your wrist and rotate it to a certain orientation. Might make it difficult to just have a picture of your face to fool it with.

Given that people's face change on a regular basis, cuts, zits, hair cuts, beards, makeup, etc I don't see how it can be accurate and reliable. It would be much better just to put the watch on, then type in the security code once.
I could see using the camera for selfies or vines, but remember most selfies are done to put your face in front of something to show where you are. You can do that by sticking your phone away from you about 2-3 feet depending on arm length. If the camera is on your wrist you can get the camera maybe 1-1.5 feet away. That's an extreme closeup. Not saying it isn't doable but it would change the selfie significantly.

I don't want a thinner watch, i want GPS built in it!

Why don't they just make one paper thin, so it will only tell the time and be done with it (and then work backwards and each update, make it thicker with more features) OH Jony

Would be nice if Apple made a True Sports Watch that competes with the likes of Garmin. The current Sports Watch is really a Sporty Watch. Maybe rename it to something more in line with what it really is. Then refresh the current watch using some of the suggestions here.

I knew it. Another thing to fret over as to whether to upgrade or not. Apple's got the users running on several hamster wheels simultaneously.

The thickness of the watch and the big black spaces around the display are what honest kept me from getting this. The screen was the biggest no-go for me, though. I wouldn't mind the thickness if they get rid of that ridiculous black space.

I wish it were more sports-like as well.
