I think if Apple wants to compete in the watch area, it needs to work on better exercise options, GPS and battery life. As it stands, Apple is not going to make any significant market share headway with the likes of Garmin, Polar etc.

At this point, I still see the Apple watch as an overpriced novelty item that has to be completely tethered to the iPhone. Not much incentive there.

So excited. I haven't bought an Apple watch yet but I'm definitely going to get the Apple Watch 2 for myself and my wife. Also I'm anxious to upgrade my 5s and this is the year for me...bring on the new products Apple..I have my wallet ready! :)

There it is again. What's with all the slobbering over Ming-Chi Kuo? The article here is based on information from Brian White, who only gets noted as an "Apple analyst ... of Wall Street firm Drexel Hamilton." Meanwhile, a side reference noting agreement on one prediction with White refers to "often-accurate [emphasis mine] KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo." It seems that whenever Kuo is cited, he must also be praised or hyped. What's up with that?

I get through a day no problem, but it is annoying have to bring a charger with me if I stay out just one night (phone last 2-3 days). I actually have been using mine in the pool, beach, shower, etc without issue from launch.

I agree about the battery, in that aspect, it would be nice to have better battery life. Good to know about water resistance. I know Tim Cook says he showers in his and many others have had luck with the watch in water. I guess at the end of the day, if it gets water damage, they can't see whether it just got wet in the shower or was at the bottom of a 12 foot pool... Maybe I'll get a little more brave with mine ;)

The only reason I am so brave is b.c I have AC+

Also, I think it would be nice for the watch to be a bit thinner...however more importantly I hope they pack more sensors in the watch. They have a good foundation and they just need to build on it.

About the faceTime camera...wouldn't that just look straight up your nose when you're sitting unless you hold your arm awkwardly in front of your face? I'm willing to try it I guess, they'll just need to make it compelling somehow.

It was nice to have on some of the android wear watches I tried. For example, I can be typing on a keyboard and look down at the time without having to flick my wrist or bring my arm up. There's many examples where it is actually useful.
It honestly is not taxing. You literally just move your wrist to look at it. It's an instinctive move. You're just looking for things to complain about.

More battery life would be slightly nice (I say slightly because if you still have to charge nightly, it's not the big leap we might see one far-off day).

Thinner would be slightly nice.

FASTER would get me to actually buy one!

40% is too much thinner. I wouldnt mind a 10% decrease, but I want my watch to be substantial. I would think that battery life for the watch would take priority over thickness.

Not sure I believe it, but sooner is better. Hopefully maybe a round(er) case or faces.

Stop fat shaming your own products, Apple! I don't want people to start labeling me a plus size because of my watch

Damn it. I wanted to buy an Apple Watch tomorrow. Seeing rumours like this makes me doubt whether to get it now or wait. I really really want one. Blah.

If I was in your shoes, I would wait until the next iteration of the watch.

The other week, I was flipping through the channels and one of the home shopping networks was demoing the Apple Watch. I shook my head when the guy tapped the weather icon and the circle proceeded to spin for three, four, five, six seconds. Finally the camera cut away.

Nope, not going to be thinner at all. It's already thinner than similar sized square mechanical watches like the Tag Heuer Monaco.

Faster, yes.

complain?? how did I complain in my post? I was merely stating it would be nice if Apple implemented it. I have the current Apple Watch and while going through the mental wishlist of the Apple Watch V2, always on time would be on that list for me. Deal breaker? no. But it would be nice!

A new Apple Watch this year would be too soon IMHO. I think a 2 year cadence is reasonable as Apple fatigue is starting to set in for me. The price point for the watches and bands need to be revisited as well. $149 for a band is obnoxious.

And for everyone who bought a precious metal version of the Apple Watch, a big "**** you!" as you watch your un-upgradeable investment rapidly depreciate in vale.

Needs to be faster. I don't much care about it being thinner. Obviously adding a facetime camera would be nearly useless. Bad ergonomics for a video call, plus the picture you would seeing would be tiny. Not much value in video conferencing if you are viewing a postage stamp picture.

Well if it's thinner, maybe they can make 46mm version.

Also, I'd take a reduced bezel with a bigger screen over a useless FaceTime camera.
