Lol not yet, but give me a few days... ;-p

Honestly, I doubt 11 pro is where I would wind up at this point, even though I half figured I’d see what happened with the 12s then maybe go with an 11 pro when the prices dropped. I just didn’t realize it was almost as heavy as the 11. The size is so perfect though. I just have no clue what I’ll do down the road, or if I’ll just stick it out with this little phone for a while.

I was thinking I missed the swiping gestures, but honestly, when I used the 11, I kinda missed the home button after having it a couple months. I’m pretty sure none of the phones are perfect for me right now, so I may as well go with cheap. :)

Interesting, or just plain ridiculous?

I’d like to say it’s over but dang, I really felt like it was over when I got that 11 last week. I’m honestly shocked that I wanted to go back to the SE.

I’m hoping the next chapter will at least be after the 12s come out. My plan all along was to have the SE til the 5.4 came out, but then the size of that one made me panic. Now I’m realizing that may wind up being just right. Who knows?

I just never really noticed that with the weight before. Of course, I had the + phones for years, so going to an XR then 11 wasn’t really a big deal. After using the SE, it was super noticeable.

As for the SE+, I surely would never want to go back to anything the size of a 6/7/8+. I don’t know if that’s what it’ll be, but I have been there, done that, and not interested in going back.

Well, I had the SE as well and couldn’t decide to stay on it. Now I’m using my iPhone 11 again, but the SE is tempting me and looking at me from the counter 😂. If anything I feel and understand your pain. I used the SE from launch until a few weeks ago when I put my sim in my iPhone X and was ok for a day then I put my sim in my XS and was fine for about a week then went back to the 11 and have been in it for a few weeks, but the SE is tempting me once again. Lol. I certainly understand where you’re coming from...

I was also waiting on the 5.4” iPhone 12, but after seeing mock-ups and 3D versions of it I’m thinking it may be too small. I honestly don’t know anymore and my wife thinks I’m crazy 😂😂😂

Well, I had requested to cancel my eBay order, and even though I contacted the seller and told him nevermind, he did my refund, so I just ordered one from WalMart too. Probably dumb to pay $9 more, but it’ll actually be here a few days sooner.
I understand everybody has to do what they're comfortable with but the seller I linked to has 100% positive feedback. I'm sure if people were getting counterfeit items their feedback would reflect it. I'll take the savings everyday.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who has struggled. It didn’t take me but a couple days of using the 11 again though to realize I’m just over that size phone. I won’t 100% rule out the 6.1 iPhone 12 if it’s lighter than the 11, and a little smaller overall. I have similar concerns about the 5.4, although the screen will be bigger, so in a case, it may work just fine for me.

At this point, I really don’t have any plans to do anything in the fall. If the phones blow me away, maybe, but OLED is still a big concern for me, and I don’t see the regular 12s having much improvement in that area over the 11 pro models.

You’re right about that. His picture just threw me off and I definitely jumped the gun. I did try to go back and stop the order from cancelling, but it was done and refunded, so I just figured I’d go the WalMart route.

Looking forward to your "I got my new iPhone 12" thread. 🤣

Well I’m sure there’s a possibility. I mean using the SE til the 5.4 was my original plan then I panicked about the overall size of the 5.4, but now that I’m feeling more set on having a smaller phone, the 5.4 may wind up being an option, and the 6.1 if it’s lighter, thinner, smaller - just depends on the features I suppose, although I am honestly enjoying touch ID and instantly missed it when I went back to the 11.

Who the heck knows...

Like I said above I MUCH prefer the 6/7/8 chassis because of pocketability. With a Magpul Bump case my iPhone 8 non plus is still very pocketable. If I put a case on a 11 Pro(which I had for 3 months) it’s not very pocketable. Sorry but the truth is it isn’t even though I wanted it to be.

A naked 11 Pro is about the same pocketability as an an 8 non plus in a case but I never go naked with my iPhones.

I would like an 8 non plus chassis with almost screen to screen without the bezels. I don’t need Face ID. I’m more into productivity vs bells and whistles.

I’m going to stick with the 8 non plus chassis as long as I can. My next iPhone might be an SE unless Apple comes out with something that’s VERY close to the 6/7/8 chassis.

I don´t think the 6,1 is going to be 148 grams and 7,3 mm depth like the SE is.

I believe you are correct, but I’m curious to see what it is in comparison to the weight/bulk of the 11.

I’m not a fan of going caseless either. And I agree that an 8 with a full screen would be about perfect. I really do like Touch ID, but you’d lose that with a full screen. I’m okay with that though. And I don’t mind some bezel, but my preference would be even around the phone, or none at all. I’m not a big complainer about the notch, but I would much prefer it wasn’t there - I’d rather slim, even bezels.

This thread is like a relief and connection because this is truly what most of us deal with as far as in the “iPhone choice” debacle. 😂

Seriously tho, this thread could last up to 5+ years only because we can just keep adding to the story. Your story is definitely mine. I’m on a 14 day trial right now with the SE2, 10 days left 😂

I was using the original se earlier this month and I actually appreciated the size but I still needed a few inches more. So why not try this new SE2.

Earlier in this thread, I said I wanted to eventually go with the 11 pro and the thought is pending still, but comparing it side by side with the SE2, there the same size in length.

Keep in mind, I’m familiar with the 11 series, or gestures if you will, I had the XR and 11 Pro Max with some trial run with the 11 Pro.

I keep thinking or trying to justify on why I should go back to the Pro still and I’m like, the battery, that’s why right?

Well I found a battery case for the SE2(iPhone 7 Apple version) and that solved that, but I keep thinking, Face ID vs home button, OLED vs LCD to which I like both, or camera etc.

In the end, for me, the SE2 is the 11 Pro. It comes down to price. If I did switch to the Pro, I’m basically paying $20 more for Face ID and battery and camera without the battery case and all screen, and I won’t be able to pay it off sooner like I can with the SE2 to which I will if I keep.

I like the Pro but it will have to be the 12 5.4 size. I never thought I would care about mobility but I realized I do after using the original se for a bit.

I’m good with keeping my phone charged but I was thinking about those long days out and the iPhone battery case answered that, see I’m still trying to find a way to the pro low key lol

I won’t use it all the time but I will make it useful.

The battery really hasn’t been an issue for me. I mean yeah it’s nice to not really worry about battery, but the SE charges quickly, especially on the iPad charger, and in my car it’s always plugged in because of Apple car play, so it’s almost always at 100% when I get out of the car. The battery case would be nice for certain occasions I suppose, but I don't really want the extra weight or bulk.

I thought I missed the swiping gestures, but then I wound up missing the swiping up from the bottom for the camera and stuff. It makes so much more sense, since that’s where your thumb is and it’s easy to flick upwards. Yeah, it’s not difficult to flick down from the top, but on a bigger phone, it’s a lot more of a stretch when my thumb is already at the bottom of the phone.

I started thinking the 5.4 would be too small for me after seeing the dummy phones in posts on here, but I think size is a lot more important to me than I realized. If I can handle the OLED, and if I can use zoom for the keyboard, it may wind up being doable. If not, I can always keep the SE. It‘s nice not paying out the wazoo for a phone, and still getting a pretty great little device!
I actually like touch ID a lot. Face ID is nice, and I love it on my iPP, but I’m about even on face vs touch on the phone.

welp, I guess now I will return my case 😂. I know better and honestly, I use my car charger as well, and it’s the 18w.🤦‍♂️ And yes, the SE2 has that quick charge. I’m slowly being cured to content 😆 What’s ironic is usually I’m the one helping people or mentioning using the iPad charger.

I can say that the case isn’t too bulky tho but I will also say I might as well have the 11 Pro Max. I agree about the 5.4. I have to see in action.

I have the battery case. It’s not really adding much bulk at all. To me it’s still less bulk and weight than with an 11pro in an Apple leather case(what I had previously). Some of my days are long so it’s good to know battery wont be an issue even if I want to watch Netflix or something like that in my break

Time to replace my iPhone 8 non plus. As I said before I had the 11 Pro for 3 months in the past and didn’t like how it wasn’t as nearly as pocketable with a case as the iPhone 8 non plus with a case.

I wear work pants with a cell phone pocket and the iPhone 8 non plus fits perfect. The 11 Pro stuck out too much and was a bit too wide. I even went on a mission searching for work pants with a cell phone pocket that could fit the 11 Pro like the 8 non Plus and couldn’t find any.

Even when I’m in my street clothes the 8 non plus would fit in my back pocket or my t-shirt pocket more comfortably than the 11 Pro.

So for me comfort and pocketability are more important. Plus believe it or not I prefer the bezels because it’s easier to navigate for me vs the 11 Pro without covering too much real estate. Maybe I have small hands but I can easily use my iPhone 8 non plus with 1 hand vs the 11 Pro. I think it’s because of the bezels.

I’d like to say I’m the type of person who likes the latest and greatest especially when it comes to iPhones.

So went to the Apple Store couple of days ago and decided I’m going to test drive the 11 Pro again. After a couple of days of heavy use I’m going to say I miss my iPhone 8 non Plus but I’m going to give it some time. Last time I gave it 3 months?

Why am I missing my the 8 non plus?

1- uncomfortable pocketability with a case. Yea the 11 Pro is pocketable but not comfortably pocketable if that makes sense. If I choose to go naked then it would be comfortably pocketable but that’s not going to happen.

2- one handed use. Yes the 11 Pro can be used 1 handed but not as comfortably as the 6/7/8 chassis. My thumb has to cover more screen real estate with the 11 Pro.

Like I said I’m going to give the 11 Pro some time. Yes I like the features however I’m just ‘not feeling it’.

Will keep you posted.

Why don´t you try the SE 2020? is the same chassis as the 8 but with the "latest" inside, at least the A13 brain. Is really fast; camera is good and the 128 gb option is in a great price.

This entire thread is me between March and June. I night and returned so many phones from Apple just trying to get the right size. I finally went with the Walmart Deal on the SE and paid it off. I kee thinking I want a larger phone mostly to read books off of and for general computing I don’t want to use my MacBook for. Each time I’ve tried a new phone, I can’t get over the size. My husband told me I have a problem with buying and returning tech. He’s not wrong, I’ve been really indecisive. The month of July I’ve been content with my SE. I really want to use one of the Face ID phones to make a silly video for open house and meet the teacher...but it’s wasteful to order a device for that reason alone, a device I will likely want to return because I am content with my SE. None of my friends have a Face ID device. Considering ordering an iPad Pro for this reason, as I don’t currently have an iPad....so many decisions.

If the 11 Pro doesn’t work out again then I’ll get the SE 2020 because it’s the same chassis as the 8.

I’m just giving the 11 Pro another chance. The real test will be this week at work. I don’t sit at a desk, I’m on the move most of the day and being comfortably pocketable is going to be the decision maker. Like I said the 11 Pro is pocketable but last time and so far it’s not COMFORTABLY pocketable. I bend down a lot and want to see how the 11 Pro does in my work pants cell phone pocket.

I tested it at home bending down and squatting like I do at work and the 11 Pro comes out 3/4 from the cell phone pocket and actually popped out a few times. The 8 would come out but not as much and would hardly ever pop out of the pocket. Plus I often have to use my phone 1 handed while I’m fixing something with my other hand. I have average size fingers but it’s a lot harder to use and text with 1 hand on the 11 Pro for me. Doesn’t mean it’s like that for everyone else.

And it’s not about price because my employer reimburses us for our cell phone service and cost of a new cell phone.

Okay so another thing I didn’t mention is that it is nice having a phone that uses all the same swiping gestures as my iPad. I was constantly trying to swipe on the SE2, not that I wouldn’t get used to it I’m sure (although I’ve had it a while), but I use my iPad daily as well, so it’s just become a habit to do certain gestures that are of course different on the SE.

Side by side, they both have their pros/cons. I have no clue what to do.

Destin is easily one of my favorite places in the whole world. We usually go twice a year but didn't go this summer because of the virus. We have reservations to come in October but we'll see.

I always love to ask locals, is there anywhere off the beaten path you'd recommend we have dinner? We are always looking for new places.

I bought an iPad Pro 12.9 awhile back, and I love it. I did buy the smaller iPad Pro at first, then returned it for the biggest one. Wasn’t sure if I was making the right decision, but I did. Especially as you get older, and you start to need reading glasses.

Well, I don’t live in Destin, but it’s our go-to for beach trips, and my husband has actually been looking at property in that area. There aren’t really a lot of places off the beaten path there, since it’s pretty much all along the busy strips. I enjoy the blackened lobster at Hammerhead’s in Sandestin, but I’m a huge lobster fan. My husband really likes Pompano Joe’s on the beach on Old 98. We almost always stay within walking distance. There’s one other place along there we have enjoyed, but I’ll be darned if I can remember the name of it.

It’s crazy. I mean I like having choices, but then again, I don’t really like having choices. Everything seems to have its pros/cons.

I don’t think you could ever go wrong with an iPad if you don’t have one. I LOVE my iPad Pro - it’s my only computing device at this point.

I have the 11’ and I really love it. I had the first 2 generations of the 12.9, and was excited to go to something more portable. Of course the 12.9 is smaller than it was then as well, and I’ve messed with it a little at AT&T the last couple times I’ve been in. I MIGHT go to the 12.9 when they release new ones next year, depending on how my usage develops over time. I picked one up in person at Best Buy a month or so ago and thought it felt huge, but in AT&T last week I was thinking it didn’t seem as big to me.

For now, I think the 11 is the perfect mix of portability and desktop use, but if I find I ultimately don’t take it off the desk much, I may wind up with a 12.9 down the road.

I thought about just doing a skin because I love the size and light weight, but I like my Loopy case so much for when I’m holding it and reading stuff in bed. I ordered an Apple leather case so I could maybe use a wireless charger, but honestly, I may wind up returning it because I love how easy it is to hold and use with the Loopy.

Man don’t start. This was day 1 trying the 11 Pro at work again and I’m not feeling it. Not nearly as comfortably portable as my iPhone 8.

If you decide to get the se, you’re going to love it! My white se was just delivered and I already set it up coming from the 11 pro that I’ve had since launch. The smaller size and the weight difference is very noticeable. I’m really liking the size so far even though it’s only been about an hour. lol...
