I’m pretty much on the verge of selling my 11 pro in favor of the se2 at this point. OLED does bother me coming from my xr; I’ve been using the 11 pro since launch, but want something smaller and lighter and cheaper. I can still get $750-$800 for my 11 pro with unloads all of my cases with it at this point, but the se2 and have an extra $300 in my pocket. If I decide to sell the 11 pro, I’ll get the se2 and see what the 12 has to offer. My only concern is, finding a saddle brown first party leather case for the se2. From what I’ve read, the Apple leather cases for the 7/8 will fit the se2. I’m still not sure.

The cases do fit the SE2. I have a leather case for the 8 and use it on my SE2 all the time.

Doesn't seem like it might get in the way of wireless charging. Tempted to get one just to test unless someone has a loopy and has tried wireless charging. Although is there any metal? That could definitely mess it up.

I feel like the loop would affect it because it can’t lay flat on its back with the loop sticking out.

STILL using my SE! ;-p

I returned the 11 today. My case hasn’t arrived, and I’m actually getting kinda fond of how light this phone is with no case. I just can’t let myself relax with a caseless phone because I can’t stand scuffs and scratches on my stuff. But dang, I’m loving it naked.

That’s one of the things that I liked about the SE2. In comparison to the 11pro it is so light and really easy to use one handed. I can’t say I miss anything from the 11 pro

I was in your situation not so long ago. Have had my SE2 for about a week now and I’m loving it. I went with the midnight leather case though(with 2 other cases)
I have the red leather case in my bag from Apple. Still deciding if I also want the black leather as well. I have black, red and saddle brown for my 11 pro and used the red leather case the most out of all three.

The red is nice it just got too dirty too quick for me so I went with the red in the battery case because of the silicone it doesn’t seem to get too dirty

Well, just ordered the white 64gb se2. Now, I’m on the hunt for an apple saddle brown leather case.

I‘ll be curious to see what you think coming from the 11 pro. I know a few here have done the same and been happy with the decision. I think now that I made the rounds, I’m gonna be happy with my decision to stick with the SE2.

Well I had myself convinced that I missed a few things about the 11, but when I got the 11 again, I missed things about the SE2. Size definitely wins over all the rest right now.

I bought a 6s a while back to use as a trade in for the 11 pro. I used it for a day and really enjoyed it. The light weight and overall smaller form factor compared to my 11 pro is really noticeable. Still used it for a day even when I had my 11 pro and I could definitely feel the weight difference between the two phones. I can live with either Face ID or Touch ID, I’ve come from a long line of android phones so finger print sensors are fine with me. I have decently sized hands and typing on a smaller keyboard was somehow easier for me. I’m excited to turn the se into my new daily driver and I’ll also have my 11 pro as my backup device; I know, totally backwards. Lol!

Scheduled for the 27th, delivery of the white se2, screen protector and directly from Apple, the red leather case.

I just got this one for my SE.
It seems he upped the price since I got mine. It was $14.20.

Exactly, is a phone and you need to carry it on pants, shorts, etc etc;

The Plus or Max phones are bigger but not big enough for media content IMO; for that I found on the iPad the best option. But when is about the phone, I want a good camera on a compact size. The SE2 is a perfect balance (and price).

I had to snap up one of those. I’ve never tried one of the leather cases. IDK if I’ll use it over my Loopy, but for $16, I figured I’d try it. It’ll match my saddle brown leather AW band nicely.

I purchased the red leather case directly from Apple. I’ve always been worried of counterfeit cases on eBay and even amazon. I don’t think there’s a way to verify the cases authenticity, but for $16 it’s not a bad deal at all.

Yeah I don’t know either, and I certainly thought about it being a fake, but IDK if I’ll even use it, so I figured what the heck.

Just remembered - there was a post somewhere about the leather cases and they could tell one was fake - just can’t remember what it was that gave it away. Maybe someone could find that thread/post.

In today’s climate with people scolding each other over the smallest of things it didn’t sound like a joke to me, either. But now that you’ve explained you were joking, I think we can all relax, share a laugh and agree @ssledoux has been on quite the journey of indecision this year.

And I totally am with her. I’m able to keep the 11 Pro and the SE so I don’t have to choose between them. But if I had to choose between them, my head would explode. I also use Android devices so I go in circles on the choices on that platform, too. Fortunately I’ve settled down to what I currently own.

I used to own only one phone at a time and upgrade annually. The only time I didn’t upgrade for almost 3 years was when I had an iPhone 4. That was my dream phone. I kind of had to be prodded into upgrading to an iPhone 5s and I’ve never quite been as satisfied as I was with my iPhone 4. I think my husband regrets dragging me away from that phone. He created a monster.

When I do find contentment, I am capable of staying with a device until it is no longer viable. I do that with my ipads. I have an old iPad Pro that was already used for a year by my husband when I got it. My iPad mini 5 will last me for years to come

I’ve been on the same two Apple Watches for a couple of years now. One I use for swimming and rough and tumble activities. The more expensive gold steel one is for general wear.

But my issue with iPhones and smartphones in general is more complicated. My friends over on the non iOS portion of this forum are used to me going through similar gymnastics of indecision when the Samsung phones are released. I can never make up my mind which size to preorder. I will make multiple orders and cancel one or the other then make a new one. They’re quite patient with me over there.

For me the 6/7/8 chassis is the best of both worlds. It’s compact enough
and MUCH MUCH more pocketable than the 11Pro. And almost a large enough screen.

For me I sacrifice screen size for pocketability. I wish the 6/7/8 screen size was a bit larger.

Okay upon looking at other threads with original Apple cases shown up close, it does appear that case is a fake. The close-ups do not show a serial number embossed on the inside as the genuine Apple cases have.

I contacted the seller, and cancelled the order. It honestly doesn’t matter if I have a real one or a fake, but since I’ve already got a Loopy case ordered, I decided I’m not spending money on a fake. If I get one, I want to know it’s Apple.

Mine came in an Apple box with a serial number on the sticker on the box that matches the serial number in the inside of the case. It looks just like the Apple leather iPhone 7 case that I bought at an Apple store. I don't know how more real it can get.

The picture of the inside of the case in the ad doesn't look like mine.

Well cool - maybe it’s fine!

Yesterday I went to visit my dad. I took a fresh look at the 8 Plus I got him last year. It’s surprisingly light compared to my 11 Pro even though it’s a big flat pancake. I used to consider it unwieldy but compared to my husband’s 11 Pro Max, it seems like a feather. 😁

I hope they come out with an SE Plus. I forgot how sweet and perfect that display was. I do remember hating tk give it up to get my iPhone XR. But I wanted the ability to record video with stereo audio.

I do agree with you that the size of the current SE 2020 is fantastic for carrying around.

I’m referring to the 6/7/8 non plus.

@s2k_esoj was kind enough to find a link at Walmart for the saddle brown case. I just ordered it.

Well, I had requested to cancel my eBay order, and even though I contacted the seller and told him nevermind, he did my refund, so I just ordered one from WalMart too. Probably dumb to pay $9 more, but it’ll actually be here a few days sooner.
