Just got the dreaded "your order requires attention" email and am currently waiting and "enjoying" that great 30 second loop of the same snippet of some jazz over and over and over . . . I hope this turns out well, the insanity from both this whole week's situation with the Iphone and this music is pushing me to the brink!
 
Everybody just needs to calm down. This happens every time there is a new product. It doesn't matter whether it was ordered from Apple or AT&T. This same series of events happened a year ago for the 3GS. I ordered one from Apple and another from AT&T. Both showed up on launch day. The iPad orders from Apple a couple months back didn't have the normal tracking information fill in until AFTER the iPad arrived at my house. Calling AT&T, checking the order on the web site, none of it makes any difference. If you ordered in the morning on the 15th you'll get your iPhone on launch day.

I ordered at 5:23 AM EST on June 15 but their so called review kept it in "ATTENTION" status for 2 days and on normal site it shows order date of June 17th and Backorderd 1. How could they delay your shipment cause of their so called ****ing reviews.

Well, I lost one of the two Iphones in my order, possibly both. It seems that both phones ended up with the same number (my current number) associated with them and they simply will not ship like that, and the whole order was going to be cancelled. I was very calm about the whole thing and politely asked if there was ANYTHING she could do to at least keep one order alive, and she checked with her supervisor who said it may stay active and ship, but there is no guarantee.

So there's a warning to anyone who preordered and added a line: check to see what phone number is associated with line 2. If it's the same as line 1, expect the same as what happened here. Also, be nice talking to the AT&T rep and maybe they'll go out of their way to help like this one did for me.

Fingers are crossed.

****ing this! I hope they stick to sending by the time the orders were placed and not placed into the main ATT system( the bull June 17 date, 18th for me =\)

Dear God that music was horrendous. Called twice, each time I waited about 15-20 minutes for a rep. Each time I listened to that same unbearable clip over and over again... Thankfully, everything is squared away for me I should be getting the iPhone without a problem.

Finally, I order my iPhone through Premier on June 15th at 12:50 pm CST. The Premier status showed as "Attention" for 3 days!!! Today at last it switched to "Processing". I then check the regular order status page using my phone number and it showed that the date ordered was June 18th. Also I have everything as backordered. My Premier order status still shows that I ordered on the 15th... :confused:

It's a 10-second loop that repeats forever, broken by the "Thank you for calling AT&T ..." message, which is now like an aural oasis in the desert of jazz.

Never thought I'd long for some John Tesh or Michael Macdonald or Yanni.

Another reason to hate ATT i called them and I was told priority will be set from the date order was completed which is Jine 17th for me and 18th for some others. Altough I ordered JUne 15 5:23 AM their ****ing review screwed me up and people like me may not get phones till july!! **** ATT
 
The last CSR I talked to said that Premier had received a crazy amount of orders ... she said "over 8000" which pretty much crippled both their phone support and their system. My first thought was, that's pretty low, but I suppose it would make sense to have that low an allotment for online through AT&T Premier. She said their usual max days are 200 or so. Not sure if I really believe all her numbers.

But she did say that the system is lagging 12-15 hours for updating the online status, and I was assured everything had processed fine and my credit card was now approved. We'll see if it's still "attention: call credit card blah blah blah" tomorrow.

If it's 8000 orders all of us would get phones but the real number is 177 thousand orders thats why ATT scrambled and we are hanging in between. ATT got allotment of only 100 thousand phones they are still 77000 phones behind unless they get another 100k alllotment half of us will be screwed.

Yeah I know, I'm just saying it would make sense if the Premier segment of that 177k total orders was only 8k. 4.5% of the orders being discount/business people seems a bit reasonable to me.

At least you have something showing on the "regular" site. Mine still shows nothing at all! Only the "Attention" note on the Premier tracking site. I called tonight and the rep said he sees my order in the system and everything is fine though. I'd say it's a 30% chance that I get my pre-ordered iPhone 4 delivered next week.

Here is what you should do. Go back to your confirmation email and check to make sure that all your shipping and billing information is correct. If it is, then you have nothing to worry about. Trust me, I thought the reason mine was on "Attention" was because something was wrong with my order. It finally went to processing by it self today so yours should go to processing soon too. :)

P.S. I ordered mine on 6/15 @ 12:50 pm CST
 
went from "attention!" to processing sometime between 10:20pmish and 11:45pm cst. Good deal.

I wouldn't worry about it - sure I am a little concerned it is shoeing backordered when I ordered at 7 am - but there is nothing we can do about it.

Reality is most of us will get phones at launch and if we don't we will get them soon after. There is nothing we can do about it at this point.

yeah same here with me.... guess i didnt realize the when i got into the delorean the other morning that i went into the future by 3 days!!!!!!

I called tonight and the rep said he sees my order in the system and everything is fine though. I'd say it's a 30% chance that I get my pre-ordered iPhone 4 delivered next week.

My order isn't showing up yet on the regular AT&T order status page, either. My Premier order went to "Attention!" on 6/17. It turned out Chase had denied the transaction thinking it may have been fraud. After clearing things up, AT&T sent my order back through processing, and it was in "receipt" status. It still shows "Attention!" on the Premier status page. When I call, the automated systems says my order is "in process and should be completed within the next business day." It has said this since Thursday morning. I called AT&T several times, and everyone assured me everything is OK with my order.

I'm getting concerned...I'm calling again Monday morning if my order status doesn't change and doesn't show up on the regular AT&T order status site. My e-mail confirmation came at 01:39 AM PDT on 6/15.

Yep, I had the exact same problem with Chase. Twice. If something else happens, I'm using a different card.

Uhh ohh. I ordered at 3:30 cst and I moved from attention to processing last night. They going in the wrong order!!!
